To be named video coordinator. This has been in the works for awhile. I made a thread (/topic/10902) and deleted it awhile back because of other insinuations that could be drawn.

@BShark not a fan. I thought he was coaching. With sherron in town he better stay out of trouble.

He is coaching. Looking to further his career, working under Bill will help.

Now it has been official that Jeremy case is moving in to the assistant coaching position

Had been waiting on that to drop.

This is a step up was my point.

I don’t get all the hate on this move. The GOATs of the sport have promoted former players and won about a gazillion titles. All the players really like Case too.

I hope it works out. I'm skeptical. Not surprised it was an internal hiring just based on how Self does things. Still with the changing recruiting landscape landing a shark would have been ideal.

@Crimsonorblue22 What is the Brady beef? Am I missing something? Or, getting old, forgetting something?

I'm optimistic Case will become a very valuable asset moving forward, and has undoubtedly already proven valuable to Self. He also seems to be someone who is liked by everyone. Brady appears to now be in line for coaching cred, too. I don't pretend to have any inside knowledge here in the least but do feel comfort in knowing both of these guys are true Jayhawks.

Case has already landed some players. He will do just fine, I agree.

Yes... those jobs are often steps leading into coaching positions. Just look at Spoelstra with the Heat. Case at Kansas...

@mayjay Sometimes the attitude is if you don't know what anyone is talking about and ask, you get branded as being out of touch and no one tells you. I have no clue either. Generally I wait for the season to start and see who is out there and start cheering them on. I can't keep up.

@wissox Being in SC, and having no connections to anything KU-related except this Board, "out of touch" is pretty accurate!

I think crims just doesn't like Brady for some reason. Dunno.
