@BShark "But what I do have, are a very particular set of skills. Skills I've acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for the people like you." I"m straight tooken.

Mercy this kid has really developed even more then when 1st saw him. We got a STUD I think he will have a big instant impact just love the game - - well needs some work on the defensive end but I don't think defense is emphasized a whole lot in these games - -> Great take

He did! I stopped at the last 20 years. It's a pretty telling award though. All NBA players.

Mercy SOUNDS like we have got us a real Baller, will be sweet. Now of course still go to show on the floor - -big difference between these a star squads and P-5 but I'm not worried have seen him several times -the kid is a stud

So… are Zach Clemence & Gradey Dick fighting for the same position minutes?

Mar 23, 2022 01:21 AM #12

No. Zach is a 5 at KU.

@BShark I'm not great at following recruiting stuff. I know Wiggins and Jackson came is as super stud athletes but couldn't really shoot it at a high level. I have no idea if this kid is one of those or an actual shooter?

47% this year.

@BShark That'll do.

Mar 24, 2022 08:40 PM #21

@BShark Does mean he misses more than he makes though so....

Mar 24, 2022 09:15 PM #22

If you could point to what perfect form looks like, it is basically him. Just the silkiest smooth, high-release shot from a 6'7 wing.

Mar 25, 2022 12:06 AM #23

I see a lot of hi lights on our sports, he gets a lot of dunks on offensive boards.

Two days. Might get some more clarity on Rice afterwards.

thanks for the info on the all star. -So thats being played on Tuesday- - had no idea Udeh had been invited , there was a little clip and talking about him a smidge saying it would be hard for a player like him to shine in one of these all star games but good to see he got the invite anyways

Mar 28, 2022 04:25 AM #29

MJ rice has confirmed that his is 💯 will be at Kansas with a rock chalk 💚

Mar 28, 2022 01:43 PM #30

Meh, kids say a lot on social media. We'll know in the next few weeks if he got that G-League invite. If not expect him on campus. Until then believe anything with grain of salt.

Mar 28, 2022 04:09 PM #31

Gradey will play against Rice on Thursday. 5pm ESPNU.

Mar 28, 2022 04:25 PM #32

Mar 31, 2022 11:16 PM #42

Grady with terrible game like 1-9 from the field-- 5 points 2shots getting blocked and believe 3 turnovers. in the Geico tourney. Prolific Prep the team Mj Rice plays on although didn't play in this him and another of their studs out cause of injury. - - Tre White I think we recruited him some didn't we ? - -played huge role for Prolific and Mark Pope. - White pin point pass with like 4 seconds to go kid hits a three from the corner Prolific wins 59-56 to advance.

Scottie Middleton had sweet game for Sunrise , I think we are recruiting him too I think Brady just no clean looks at all. Mark Mitchell had good game but came up short ,Sunrise is the # 1 team in the Natin and they are out.

Mar 31, 2022 11:22 PM #43

Sunrise is very poorly coached.

They did not appear to even really run plays. Dumb.

Apr 14, 2022 02:34 PM #44

Gradey Dick, and now Wilder Evers. This recruiting class is bringing us some interesting names. Wilder is a walk on but here's hoping we get to hear his name a few times on broadcasts.

Apr 14, 2022 02:38 PM #45

@BShark Do they compete in the regular Kansas HS association (or whatever it's called)? I'm guessing they don't because they recruit and all that, but I've been curious. Are all of their games just road games at other 'schools' like IMG, Brewster and all the others?

Apr 14, 2022 05:11 PM #46

@wissox I don't believe they played a single regular KS HS team. They are essentially an AAU high school.

No they don't play no Kansas high school regular teams they are just AAU high school

Apr 14, 2022 11:01 PM #48

Hope we get some good soundbites from the Frans of this world. Something like “hes crazy passing up Dick for the Wilder jam. Right now Dick is automatic.”

Apr 16, 2022 01:15 AM #49

@JAYHAWKFAN214 @BShark I feel sorry for those kids. Competing for your town and school with your friends is fun. You can become a local legend as many do of course. But leaving home at an early age just so you can increase your recruiting profile seems odd.

Apr 16, 2022 01:21 AM #50

@wissox Well it is their choice. Hopefully anyway, sometimes parents are forceful. I do think it is generally a good move, Gradey improved a lot more at Sunrise than he would of playing KS HS competition.

Apr 16, 2022 02:10 AM #51

@approxinfinity wonder if Dicks sporting goods will put out?

Apr 16, 2022 02:29 AM #52

@BShark basically same town. Collegiate is a choice too.

May 18, 2023 01:55 PM #53

Gradey will not participate in today’s combine scrimmage. He opted out.

May 18, 2023 01:58 PM #54

@Gorilla72 This is generally a good sign, right? Doesn't it imply he doesn't really need to do anymore to impress anyone because his draft stock is pretty safely in the range he would like?

May 18, 2023 02:33 PM #55

@benshawks08 - Per. KansasCity.com: “ According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN, only one projected first-rounder (Andre Jackson) was participating in the scrimmages. Players sometimes decline invitations to scrimmage at the Combine on the advice of agents who see no upside to improving one’s draft stock by playing.”

May 18, 2023 02:51 PM #56

Yea I mean he's a lock to go top 15. And I don't think there is much room for him to move up. I've see him mocked as high as 7. But consensus is like 10th/11th I think.

Almost every mock I have seen post lottery draw has him going 9-11. Going 10 to Dallas would be awesome for him. Luka would get him endless open looks.

May 19, 2023 06:49 PM #58

Ha. I found this draft evaluation of Gradey funny, and the opposite of what i saw this year.

This is by no means a knock on Gradey. We all love us some Gradey. No ill will intended!

"He’s a fluid athlete who really knows how to move without the ball and find room for his shot."

I thought that was actually where he needs to grow the most: moving without the ball to find his shot.
