16 rebounds 17 pts yesterday in a finals win. I wasnt a Mike Brown fan as a head coach but Im wondering if he is having a large impact on helping Wiggins realize his all around game.

Good job Andrew!

Wiggs has been solid this entire post season , kind of quiet but the announcers were talking big on him last night

I love Wiggs! He's still a lil timid, gives up his shot to much and passes. Needs more confidence. Misses those long layups, can't hit the sweet spot on the glass.

I think it's less Mike Brown and more Steve Kerr, because the only thing in Wiggins' way was in his head. And Kerr is a master at the non-physical parts of the game -- motivation and understanding the players as people.

Wiggs' talent and ability has never been in question. But he hasn't been fond of the spotlight and hasn't kept the assassin mentality consistently.

The finals are a pivotal experience for him and his career. If he can string a couple more games together like G4, he will be seen very differently.

WOW - What a night for Mr. W and the rest of the Dubs! Another stellar performance in Game 5. 26 points, 13 rebounds. On a night when Steph made as many three pointers as a dead guy. One win away from the title.

If Andrew doesn't get Finals MVP, well, there's something else that Congress can investigate...

Hell of a night for Wiggins. I still have the SI magazine with Wiggins in a Kansas jersey.

Happy for him.

@KirkIsMyHinrich I couldn't find this so I started another post. Dang. Loved his confidence tonight. He lets others lead. Tonight it was his turn. Back to back dble dbles.

I saw that too. Wiggins has the best smile and his little girl is adorable.

It really feels like he's turned a page or two since Minnesota. Getting traded to the Warriors was the best thing that ever happened to him. They get the most out of him. And obviously it has paid of for Golden State too.

Saw his mom and dad in the stands tonight watching the game which was cool. His mom is the best athlete of the bunch

Was she the gray haired lady?

Jun 14, 2022 03:35 AM #13

Probably, but I don't remember what color her hair was. Her name is Marita Payne-Wiggins if you want to look it up.

@KirkIsMyHinrich they went to them when he had that dunk. I had seen them a few times at AFH. Saw them come in a side door one time. She was a stud. No, I was surprised to see her in gray hair. At KU they were pretty much to themselves. We were looking at a pic of embiid , Wiggs and Selden on the bench and they were so happy. I remember Wiggs saying he really wished he could've stayed, he had so much fun in college. Of course embiid wanted to stay too. Love to see them play together.

Just call him Andrew "The Missing Ingredient" Wiggins. WARRIORS WIN THE TITLE !!!

Jun 17, 2022 03:15 AM #16

Congrats to Wiggins and the Warriors. Put the clamps on Tatum the whole series

Huge for Wigs. His reputation will change from this. Congrats to him.

Wiggins signs a 4-year, 109 million extension with Golden State.

Glad he's staying with the Warriors

Oct 15, 2022 09:44 PM #19

Looks like they're signing Wiggs and Poole to extentions.

Somebody's gotta go, so Draymond about to be on his way out the door.

It'll be interesting to see what happens there. Green has a 27 million dollar play option after this season, so he could be with the Warriors for 2 more seasons. I would guess he'll take the player option because it's unlikely another team will offer him more than 27 million.

My guess is that Draymond's time with Golden State has run its course. He's old, his game dropped off considerably last season, and he's a pain in the arse. IMO one of the most overrated players in the league. Recall his stats/play when all Golden State's good players were hurt a few years back? Garbage. But, i'm not a player, so what do i know.

It's not that I disagree with you, but he has a player option, so it's Draymond's choice.

You're right. Draymond can pick up his player option.
I still think he won't be around next season, one way or the other.
Guessing retirement and his podcast will eat up his time.
