I watched both the Cleveland game and the Denver vs Minn. game (featuring CB and Big Dave). Honestly felt all three played well.. CB looked very good most of the game. Dave had his moments.

Ochai started well, finished well and faded in the middle... We've seen that before.

Still, very favorable start for all three.

Saw Marcus Garrett play today, he looked really good! He really impressed the announcers.

What time is Och & CB on ?

Jul 10, 2022 09:42 PM #7

@jayballer67 6

Jul 10, 2022 11:04 PM #9

Mobley really should have stayed in college

Jul 11, 2022 09:07 AM #10

CB & Och did not have great scoring games.

Jul 11, 2022 01:18 PM #11

Ochai started out splashing, Braun struggled a bit with his shot.

Jul 11, 2022 06:09 PM #12

Definitely not shooting in rhythm. These games suck for guys that play team ball. Everyone looking out for themselves. Coaches know that.

Lucky for him he won't be expected to do anything besides catch and shoot, transition baskets, and play defense and rebound. He should basically be the 5th scoring option when/if he is on the floor for that Nuggets team.

Och has looked pretty good so far. I think the NBA game is really going to fit who he became this past season.

Jul 13, 2022 10:00 PM #14

Och 24 points (7/13, 6/6 from the line), 3 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist

Nice game for him.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Unfortunately, a bit more of a struggle for CB. A couple of really bad shooting games. 1-10; 0-5 last night. But, he otherwise filled the stat sheet with 12 RBs, 5 assists, and 3 blocks.

Jul 14, 2022 03:26 PM #16

Marcus struggled! D dot and BD did too.

Hoping CB finds his NBA shooting range. Didn’t he shoot like 38% from 3 at KU last season? He’ll be fine soon.

Just wanted to add, Big Dave has the tools to compete. He was playing like his early season Big Dave to much. Herky jerky. But at times he showed his championship BD. He had 6 fouls 😳

Jul 15, 2022 02:08 PM #19

CB may be forcing his shots. 10 is more than his usual. Hoping they start to fall.

Sep 01, 2022 07:07 PM #20

CB and Och together???

lol I’m dumb idk y I thought CB was on the Jazz

Sep 01, 2022 08:32 PM #23

KC, You were thinking about Dok, Correct.

Sep 01, 2022 08:55 PM #24

I am not sure if that is good or bad for Oachi long term

Sep 01, 2022 10:35 PM #25

What a horrible trade by the Cavs. Some things never change

Sep 01, 2022 10:36 PM #26

@Kubie if this is an indication of how stupid the Cavs would be in handling Ochai seems like a win.

Sep 01, 2022 11:06 PM #27

Wow. Cleveland.

No clear path to a lot of minutes in Utah, but i'm no NBA player expert. Seemed like he had a shot at minutes in Cleveland, maybe even as a starter.

But any place has to be better than Cleveland, right? At least he can have a few wives now in Utah.

Sep 02, 2022 01:18 AM #28

I hate Cleveland and the Kings!

Sep 02, 2022 12:48 PM #29

@Kcmatt7 Doke is still on Utah right?

Sep 02, 2022 03:08 PM #30

@approxinfinity Yes. It's a small 2020 Jayhawk reunion.

What's kind of amazing is that it could have been 2 FF MOP, if not for the pandemic. But even so, it is two of the top college players in the last 3 years. I think both were B12 Player of the Year. One was consensus 1st team all america; the other second team..

Sep 02, 2022 04:02 PM #31

Ha, just read the KU Sports story on the Och trade.
Totally forgot that Cleveland did the exact same thing with Wiggins! Traded him before he even got a practice in!

Sep 03, 2022 04:59 PM #32

Good news for Och?
Seems like the Jazz are in full rebuild mode. More of their players will be on the move. Hoping that clears a spot for him to get some serious PT!

Ochai getting no preseason minutes for Utah, but 36-year-old Rudy Gay getting 25 minutes off the bench. Why?

Pretty sad when the last pick of the LOTTERY i the most recent draft not getting any minutes - - something smells , either he has had just an incredibly bad workouts/practices with the team OR Utah being Utah- piss poor clum/organization - -I choose the later

Or, they know that Victor Wenbayama is available in the next draft, and they want to lose as many games as possible to get a chance at the first pick. Vegas has them at 23.5 wins for the year. Maybe Och gets a lot more run next year, when they actually try to win.

Oct 12, 2022 10:29 PM #36

Och is getting a tiny bit of run. 6 and 9 minutes in two games.

IMO he's going to need time to adapt to the pro game, despite him being older. Always thought that with him.

Utah likely trying to let him grow comfortable with the speed of the game, which i'm guessing is where he'll have issues.

Maybe that's if he is still with this sad organization next year. - -Knowing them probably trade Och - -would be best news possible for him
