What exactly is a recruiting coordinator? An assistant coach? Recruiting players directly?

Is this a new position? Oh, it is!

And, I assume, responsible for making sure any discussion with recruits about NIL is taken care of properly, whatever the hell FUBAR the rules are.

Bill getting an old friend more checks, having more coaches around there are lots of ways to view it.

Don't think he will be recruiting players directly but there are schools cough Texas with recruiters in non-ast coach positions.

I would guess coordinating and scheduling when and where coaches go out to recruit prospects. Probably also coordinating recruits on campus visits.

I would assume this is so someone can step straight into a coaching role once punishment is handed down. Dooley knows how Self runs things so there won't be much of a learning curve if Dooley has to step into KT's role.

Yup. My tiny brain goes straight to wondering if a firing/suspension looms with the NCAA stuff. Hope not.

This absolutely is about the NCAA stuff and being prepared whenever that ruling comes down. Dooley might be doing behind the scenes stuff now, but he's someone very familiar with how Self runs things and if KT and/or Self get suspended, Dooley can step right into a coaching role while suspensions are being served. This was absolutely done in preparation for a potential NCAA ruling.

Agree , you just never know. I myself am still under the impression/feeling when this is all said and done. Coach get's a 1 yeat suspension / show cause and an our other friend gets let go/fired

Dooley steps in for Coach for the yr, however IF and again I said IF this does happen I think Coach says screw it and walks, saying he has had enough of the bull shit from NCAA
