Billy Preston got buckets so easily. I wish his momma hadn’t screwed him and us over. He could’ve been a great college player and might have developed into a pro if given the opportunity.

The moral of all of this is Bill Self should have known better.
He knew what was getting when they risked signing him. Kid that bounced schools, his antics were well known on the grass-roots stage. Other big schools at the time stayed away. I believe we missed on other high-profile targets and had to pivot. It is what it is there.
Billy Preston is no victim and his family isn't either. The way Self recruits now is a result of the Preston/Alexander/Diallo/De Sousa days. Again it is what it is. You either learn from mistakes or continue to make them

@BeddieKU23 DeSousa and Preston were the 2 biggest mistakes Bill Self has ever made. ESPN is Joke and I only watch the channel when KU plays on it.

And the Preston situation is why De Sousa ended up playing at KU earlier.
Both situations were shady.
