Great game against Illinois , now time to focus on Nevada - one game at a time. - Can't think about BYU , time to think about Neveda.

This SHOULD be a game where we can get some more kids live game on the field experience. Would be nice to be able to say like play Jalen in the 1st half - - rotate Jaason the 3rd quarter & then maybe the 3rd string Easters or Ballard the last.

Get some defensive players time get experience! - - I've been fairly close on my scores . I had KU 38 -- -31 over Illinois , not bad --I'm thinking this one could get ugly for Neveda - as explosive as our offense is - -I'm looking at like 52-14 -maybe 52 - -7 - -just think we need to get some valuable snaps for depth, protect our starters as much as possible

ESPN has KU as a 28 pt favorite.

Ya my friend without thumping my KU chest to hard I'd say thats about right- -hard to cover a much higher spread whether you do win by more then that or not- - I think they cover that Hell I might even go with a 33 point spread

I’d take the points with Nevada if I bet on it, my early Prediction is KU 42- Nevada 17.

This is one of these weird spreads where I don’t quite know what to expect. Booker and Cobee will be out the first half. Dev might not go. Buuuut the talent gap is massive. So let’s go 48-13

Listening to Coach at his weekly meeting we kinda dinged up. - -Coach said Jalen did very little --- -Devin did very little - -& Luke did the least of all.

Glad w are playing Neveda, but still worries me especially Jalen , maybe just ought to play Jason again - -rest Jalen and Devin - - -Let HiShaw - -McDuffie & - Morrison take care of the running game and let - - Jason take care of the QB chores make sure or hope rest will have then ready for BYU. - -w have BYU - - Texas - -& UCF - -we gonna need all guns ready for that stretch.

I don't suppose the 9:30 start time will bother KU players; I think I remember having decent energy after 9pm when I was in college. Sleeping until noon helped. I wonder if Jalon will be allowed to stay in the game to improve his offensive numbers or whether he sits after KU builds a decent lead to get him ready for BYU. Probably, I'll have to check the comments here on Sunday to see what happened.

Game is on CBS Sports Network, I think they have a deal with the Mountain West. Think the last time I remember playing on that station was 2009 vs UTEP. Jalon’s injury continues to be very worrisome at this point. I think we are a 8-9 win ceiling team with him but a 5-6 ceiling team with Bean in there. If there is any chance it re-aggravating his back there is zero reason to play him.

I'm just glad I get it! It's the channel they send us to when the bb game before us runs long.

Any word on who's playing? I suspect Jalon and Devin sit, and we use many second and third string players. Almost like a bye week. But, a really good opportunity to build some depth.

That FG was an oddity, Nevada’s QB is 3/5 for -7 yards they have 23 yards of offense but 3 points. Offense needs to wake the heck up

Stadium is 4600 feet above sea level. Might be a small factor?

With the new teams out west these types of games might become relatively common for us. Saturday nights ok, but not too wild about staying up to midnight/12:30 on a big monday game in Arizona or something.

In pre-game they were talking about managing the long day til game.

@Crimsonorblue22 Defense was decent outside of about 3 plays. They only have 97 yards and are averaging just 3 yards for play. Penalties, missed turnovers, bad decisions offensively and a terrible punt see why it’s not 17-0 right now because it should be. Hopefully getting guys back gives us some juice just not fire at all out there by the guys in white.

Weird. We should be totally controlling this game, but a few miscues and penalties have really messed up the rhythm on offense. D looks fine to me.

Spent a night in Reno last year, and it wasn't bad. Hit a couple breweries. People were pretty chill and our dog was welcome.

It's like our coaches remembered we have all kinds of unique looking plays like that long one. I would love to see Neal turn into that guy and drive him into the end zone instead of letting him push him out.

Had empanada's tonight for the first time at Empanada fest in our town.

Why wouldn't the Big 12 schedule the western teams only for early afternoon starts and the eastern teams for 7pm starts. That would balance out the time differences somewhat

I didn't even make it to halftime last night. Last score I remember was 10-3 KU. Looks like it played out how I thought it would based my only in game post. A sloppy game that KU just had to make sure they won and not worry about style points.

Too late for me - the score isn’t encouraging. Where there some bright points? Reading the comments it sounds like the run game was good.

Just read the thread. Right prediction, just the wrong game and team. I watched the never-ending nightmare of Colorado State doing about 5 stupid penalties to lose their game. 17 penalties, 182 yards. To quote our friend here, Jumpin' Jehosophat!

KU starts out an 8.5 favorite over BYU. I thought Nevada played a terrific game and attribute the close game to their better than expected performance, rather than KU's poor performance. KU was average, but Nevada was very good compared to their previous games.

Penalties killed a lot of kid momentum early and again late. KU recovers any of those 5 fumbles and the game feels very different. Ball didn’t bounce KUs way and they still won on the road. I’ll take it!

@mayjay I heard it was pretty bad at Colorado. Yes, late nights, but at least it was on Saturday. But I get up for church so 7:30 wake up came pretty early!

@dylans The bright spot was there was some toughness in KU not flinching after several Nevada TD's in the 2nd half. Nevada tied it up at 17 and 2 plays later we were winning again. They then tie it at 24, and a pretty quick unchallenged drive down the field led to the final margin. Kicking game was really good as well.

ya I will agree they played better then their previous games - - -BUT also I think the guys might of got a little full of their selves, hearing to much from media and such how this should be a butt kickin. I just think it was a combination of things, Jalen for sure wasn't on top of his game, our defense made mistakes penalties, I am sure Coach will have their full attention

I look really for a totally different output Saturday. We will be playin at home again , I'm sure it will be sold out , loud, rowdy, just like for the Illinois game if not more. -I think 8.5 is to high, probably come down some during the week. we need to start fast and keep our foot on their throat the entire game - - -ROCK CHALK

I got to throw some love to JD after sleeping on it last night dude looked off most of the first half and ended up finishing 21/27 for 298 yards. That’s pretty darn efficient and had a few guys stopped at one preventing TDs. Great game by Neal all around once again. I read a good article this morning but can’t find it. But it summed me up good by saying “Man coach LL has came along way in less than 3 years, we are disappointed in Kansas only winning a road game by a touchdown. This program holds the record for most consecutive road losses”.
