But -

Houston is spanking TCU at halftime. There's no chance that we beat anybody but Lindenwood this year.

Oct 05, 2024 01:01 AM #2

Maybe we will lose until Colorado, then beat the crap out of them and get Sanders fired. Remember the good old days when losing to us meant getting Texas coaches fired?

Oct 05, 2024 01:04 AM #3

@approxinfinity Mmmm. I feel like the other Big 12 coaches jobs are pretty safe this year.

Oct 05, 2024 11:50 AM #4

@nuleafjhawk I’ve been sitting here the last two weeks wondering the same thing. What a disaster 1-11 would be with 30 seniors and returning what we did. I could see us having a winless season in a shiny new stadium next year.

Oct 05, 2024 11:58 AM #5

Theres no way.

Oct 05, 2024 12:07 PM #6

@approxinfinity OH yes! We actually DID beat Lindenwood!

Oct 05, 2024 12:08 PM #7

@approxinfinity If I may be serious for a moment - who do you see as a potential win for us?

Oct 05, 2024 12:37 PM #8

@nuleafjhawk all of them are potential wins.

Oct 05, 2024 12:39 PM #9

We are not lacking in talent, obviously. Hence, the potential remains high.

Oct 05, 2024 01:31 PM #10

@approxinfinity we have talent, we seems to be lacking heart, pride and coaching.

Yea if this ship doesn’t turn around it is one of the biggest coaching failures I’ll have ever seen in my sports fandom. Not sure there will have been a team in my memory with a more disappointing season after sky high expectations than this one.

Wiggins season comes to mind.

20-21 basketball season was pretty brutal.

18-19 season was tough after Doke got hurt.

But this football team may take the cake at this rate.

None of KU's losses have been blow outs. They've all been competitive games that pretty much came down to the end of the game. There's no dominant team in the Big 12. BYU, Utah and KSU look like the best teams, but none of them are unbeatable. The Houston game might the only one KU is favored in, I don't see KU being a double digit underdog except maybe the KSU game. KU is good enough to win any game they play if they can clean up some of these mistakes they're making that have cost them. Despite all the issues of this team, this team is only a handful of plays from being 4-1 or even 5-0 so there's not a legitimate reason to write KU's chances off in any remaining game this season as a loss. ASU is only a 2 point favorite right now.

Oct 05, 2024 02:52 PM #13

@Texas-Hawk-10 I swear I love KU. I WANT them to win. But after watching Houston/ TCU last night, I threw in the towel.

I have ASU by 28 tonight.

Oct 05, 2024 02:53 PM #14

@approxinfinity potentially, Trump is a human being.

Oct 05, 2024 04:00 PM #15

Let’s go Jayhawks! Today’s the day. Don’t see a reason we can’t win this game. ASU not exactly a powerhouse so far.

We’ve been competitive, so let’s turn it to 11!

My two cents: we see somebody else take a snap at QB sometime today.

What exactly has ASU done to make you think KU loses by 4 TD's? None of KU's losses, 3 of them to much better teams than ASU, came down to the wire. Despite all the flaws of this team, nobody has been able to blow KU out this season and ASU won't be the first.

If you genuinely think KU loses by 28 tonight, then you really haven't paid any attention to this team or are just completely ignorant about football.

Oct 05, 2024 04:41 PM #17

@Texas-Hawk-10 ah, I love the name calling. The sign of a mature adult.

I'm sure your opinion is much more important than mine.

Oct 05, 2024 05:01 PM #18

@nuleafjhawk You saying KU will lose by 28 tonight is you show a lack of knowledge, information, or awareness about KU football this season, is literally the definition of ignorant.

Please enlighten all of us as to what evidence there is that KU is going to get beat by 28 points tonight by an Arizona St. team comingoff a loss to Texas Tech?

Oct 05, 2024 05:08 PM #19

There is NO WAY this game will be decided by either team 28 . like others said clean it up get our receives to start catching the ball better might be different. -Our receivers other then Grimm have been terrible

Oct 05, 2024 05:13 PM #20

@Texas-Hawk-10

Well, it's a gut feeling. Tell me, since I'm ignorant and you're all knowing - what will the final score be?

By the way, I guessed my friend's son's High School football score last night. I predicted they'd be ahead 56-0 at halftime. I was wrong. It was 63-0.

Oct 05, 2024 06:26 PM #21

@nuleafjhawk The final is going to be a whole hell of a lot closer than 28 points. Probably a one score game either way.

Oct 05, 2024 07:18 PM #22

@Texas-Hawk-10 You know, I hope you're right. I'm wrong enough that it doesn't bother me much anymore. It's just that we seem to be getting worse and I don't have a good feel about the rest of this season. That might change if coaches/players were re-evaluated and we actually did something to improve the situation.

Oct 05, 2024 09:25 PM #23

I've got KU winning 49-48.

Oct 05, 2024 09:36 PM #24

@wissox you are the Supreme optimist.

Or batshit crazy 🤪

Oct 05, 2024 11:02 PM #25

I think KU basically has a 40% chance of winning each of the rest of their games.

Oct 05, 2024 11:14 PM #26

I have a good feeling about today. We are due.

Oct 06, 2024 01:39 PM #27

@Texas-Hawk-10

You were right on regarding the point spread and I was way off.

The main thing to me is we're a bad team with some good points. Am I the only one that knew we would lose in the last 2 minutes? We've lost all 5 games this after having had 4th quarter leads. That may be Guinness Book of World Records material.

I'm ready for basketball.

Oct 06, 2024 02:27 PM #28

@nuleafjhawk does that make us a bad team or a mediocre team? Might you be looking at the football team through basketball colored glasses?

Oct 06, 2024 02:29 PM #29

@approxinfinity Terrible. Mediocre teams go .500. Good teams go to crappy bowl games. Moral victories are for losers.

Oct 06, 2024 02:59 PM #30

@dylans when the margin of victory in all your games is single digits, i dont think your record is the most accurate indicator of quality. This seems like an expectant fanbase blowing off steam.

Oct 06, 2024 03:03 PM #31

@approxinfinity I believe we lost one game by 11 (?) but its not so much the actual scores of the games, but HOW we're losing. Constantly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Oct 06, 2024 03:03 PM #32

Bad teams are not competitive.

Oct 06, 2024 04:44 PM #33

A couple of years ago Nebraska started 1-6 (I think) in the BIG and had a positive cumulative score. They kept losing by a point or two and blew out one other team. I'm ok with that happening as long as the blow out is silo tech... well not really, it'd be fun to rally to a bowl bid which is still possible I believe.

No your not the only one who thought that. - - I too we what- -2:04 left ? that we wee cooked , I knew they was gonna score , People want to getall over Grimes ass , and rightly so to a point anyways, BUT we have had leads in the 4th quarter in all these games and the defense can't hold leads.

Last Night what happens ?----first play from scrimmage when they got the ball -Their RB breaks out for 39 yards right off the bat -- -- BALL GAME. - -we hadn't stopped them all night, why would anyone here believe if we couldn't stop then all game that all of a sudden we were going to be different on their last drive

How many times are we gonna get our ass smoked on designed QB draws by a Mobile QB - - everybody wants Grimes ass - When is Borland gonna have to take some responsibility?

Oct 06, 2024 07:54 PM #35

@approxinfinity I expected them to revert back to this. They are just a year ahead of schedule.

Oct 06, 2024 11:59 PM #36

Oct 07, 2024 01:51 PM #37

I keep telling my dvr to record the biggest loser and it keeps recording the KU football games.

Oct 07, 2024 10:37 PM #38

@dylans That's a PHOF! Nice.
