This is the game I would worry about the Chiefs taking off and losing. Kareem Hunt is injured, no wide receivers and KC faces the lowly Raiders. 6-1. I'd sure like to see Mahomes get through this game without an interception. I wonder how many of his 8 INTs weren't his fault, like the end zone interception against the Niners where the pass went off the receiver's hands? I always like it when the Chiefs pound the Raiders, but we'll see.

I’m hoping this is a get right game for the offense and Mahomes in some fashion. I haven’t heard anything about Hunt being injured to this point. I think the biggest issue Pat has faced is a depleted WR core and weak offensive tackles. Kelce hasn’t looked like the player we have grown accustomed to yet. I’m hoping DHop helps out a fair amount but the last few weeks there hasn’t been a top 50 receiver on the roster. People forget JuJu got cut from the pats this year and Hardman from the Jets last season. I don’t think this is a trap game like it was last season and they will definitely be ready for the raiders after that.

@stoptheflop I’ll add that about half of Mahomes picks haven’t been his fault IMO. Some hit his receivers in the hand, the receiver fell down or ran the wrong route. He’s always gonna be a high risk high reward passer like Favre was, if he had 5 or 6 more TDs the picks wouldn’t bother me much.

Hunt has an reportable hamstring issue but was a full participant in practice yesterday.

Incidentally, the last guy with this Int/TD stat line to begin the season 6-0 was "Paintin' Manning" who won the SB.

I am fairly confident the Chiefs will beat the raiders. Christmas Day loss is stills too fresh. I worry more about the broncos game. Total trap game with the Bills the next week. (Also I have tickets to see the chiefs v Broncos. lol)

Andy says DeAndre Hopkins will get some targets against THE RAIDERS. Anxious to see how this works out.

@stoptheflop so excited about Nuk. Hope he regains some shape of his old form. He says he’s energized, so that’s encouraging.

Like Kareem Hunt, playing for a team with a shot at the SB and a 3peat should invigorate Hopkins.

Raiders rookie cb playing with a Kermit doll in the preseason mocking Mahomes…not smart. Mahomes response, “It gets handled, when it gets handled.” Today is the day!

Raiders soon to be ex coach Pierce - we have the Mahomes rules (harm Mahomes if possible). Similar to the pistons Jordan rules - rough him up at every possible opportunity. Play dirty, just don’t get caught. Hope the O-line is up to the challenge!

Let's look at some AFC QB stats: in 7 games Lamar Jackson 1810 passing yds, 15 TDs, 2 INTs; Burrow 1750 yds, 14 TDs, 2 INTs; and in 6 games, Mahomes 1389 yds, 6TDs, 8INTs. OUCH! I sure hope Hopkins gets some of the targets that Brown and Rice would have had but for injuries. Maybe that will help our QB

@stoptheflop what's their record?

Yes, the Chiefs beat both teams, but I'm sure the TD/INT ratio bothers or concerns Mahomes and KC coaches. Thank goodness KC's defense is playing so well.

Oct 27, 2024 05:08 PM #14

@Crimsonorblue22 Even better, what’s their head to head record this year? lol

I love how the talking heads drool over Lamar Jackson’s stats while failing to recognize that he doesn’t make winning plays. I have very little concern when the Chiefs play him.

Oct 27, 2024 05:10 PM #15

@stoptheflop The defense playing so well is the reason that the Chiefs play calling has switched from 60/40 pass/run to 40/60. Strategy and personnel. The defense suffers when the offense scores quickly. Complimentary units. But they definitely need to improve red zone scoring - and I hope Nuk alleviates some of those issues.

Oct 27, 2024 05:19 PM #16

Answer is they lost 2 games? Simple question

Oct 27, 2024 05:28 PM #17

@dylans Lamar is so much fun to watch play but he has to start making winning plays when it matters most. In January he just collapses.

Oct 27, 2024 07:38 PM #18

@kjayhawks did he attend KU?

Oct 27, 2024 08:13 PM #19

Nice opening possession. Hopkins with a first down.

Oct 27, 2024 08:43 PM #20

Just double Bowers and the Raiders offense will stall. He’s killing it right now

Oct 27, 2024 09:05 PM #21

Starting to target Kelce more. TD

Oct 27, 2024 09:35 PM #22

Oct 27, 2024 10:04 PM #24

I say it again for the folks in the back Elite defense in KC

Oct 27, 2024 10:41 PM #25

Nice drive

Always feels good to beat Raiders

Let’s go Chiefs

Oct 27, 2024 11:06 PM #27

Good win; the Raiders always play their best game against KC. Great to see Kelce have a good game. I sure hope Mahome's ankle is OK. I had to take a break during the flag fest in the 3rd Q. Message to NFL refs: Stop throwing flags on consecutive plays over and over. That takes all the enjoyment out of the game.

Oct 28, 2024 01:55 AM #28

Defense made some big plays and the offense showed signs of its old self. If they can get SS back next week they should have a good receiving core with Kelce starting to get into his groove. I really think this game put the rest of the NFL on notice. Hunt has plugged right and done the heavy lifting. I give Minshew credit he played his best game of the year this afternoon and it wasn’t enough.
