KU has hired DK McDonald as the new Defensive Coordinator and CB coach. He's been a DB coach with the Philadelphia Eagles for the past 4 seasons and was at Iowa St. for 4 years before that.
A DC is only as good as his players and that's a concern of mine with our team. Maybe it's the bad taste from the Baylor game but I generally feel like this team can't stop anyone.
I like the hire - gonna bring passion and energy which as a DC is half the battle

Defense has been the weak link during the Leipold era and that’s no secret. I like what I have heard on him thus far.
