Nothing but the best for these guys going forward from me. I dont blame KJ or Juan for roster construction, or minutes played. Thats all on Self. I dont blame them for Self thinking of them as sons. Its good to be lovable kids. I hope they find success and happiness going forward and hope we cross paths again.

In all seriousness I wish Hunter the best too, but it was very hard to have our preseason first team all american be so underwhelming. I need some time to recover before I can say I dont blame him, and honestly believe that.

@approxinfinity he is the face of the most unsuccessful back to back seasons KU has had in a long time. I just keep telling people, Hunter just wasn’t a winner. He faded in big moments apart from an amazing performance on senior night.

He was a good player for us, but not great.

Seems like he matured some as a person, and I hope he has success and happiness. Just don’t date Jeff Withey’s ex, Hunt!

Harris and Adams pulled the heart strings with their stories. They collectively gave 10 years to the program and won a national championship so I Will always remember them fondly for all of that.

The last two years were not a lot of fun to be honest. Usually I'm begging to have more games with Srs but not this group unfortunately. It's a weird feeling but it is what it is. The next chapter is scary and uncertain but it's time to embrace it

I wish them well but none of them were great basketball players. I’m more than ready for the next chapter. Hunt definitely disappointed in the Arkansas game but so did Juan for much of it. Both had a couple of back breaking turnovers late. KJ was one strong dude that never developed into a great ball player. Hunt actually led the team both this year and last in -/+ and still think he is much more successful with 4 guards around him that could do something with the ball as Doke did in 2018. I know it’s not popular but I’ve never been more disappointed in a senior campaign than Juan’s between bricking free throws late in Ames and against Houston at home. Seems like about twice a game he leaves his feet and throws the ball away. I could write a book about the holes in his game. I hope he does well in his next chapter but he is my least favorite 4+ year player since I started following Hawk basketball 30 some odd years ago.
