I really think KU has a shot at making the post season this year. Would be fun to watch them in the tournament and see what they can do! Big 12 normally gets 6-7 teams, think KU has a chance to dance.

For anyone that hasnt followed KU Baseball much this year, KU had a game where they went back to back to back to back to back homeruns. 5 in a row! Never seen that before at any level. Super impressive. There’s a video of it out there but I still havent figured out how to post them.
We got a really good team. I've watched most of the games maybe missed one-- -two at most.--- Thing is with this squad they make opposing pitches really work. they might have multiple 8-9 pitch at bats.--They two strikes they just keep fouling off working the count.
They just swept the # 8th ranked team in the preseason in the Nation Oklahoma St, even though Okie St has kind of been a bust.. They was predicted to win the Big 12.
KU is right around fifth in the Nation right now while hitting fifty nine home runs so far I believe , KU'S record for a season is seventy five, they will break that.-- They just broke their all time attendance record for a game at like 2,260 fans- people are taking notice , students showing up.
This team can win in multiple ways.- They for sure can hit the long ball at almost anytime- -they are dangerous one through nine , they can string multiple hits together, they make the other pitcher work deep in counts-I think they lead or close to the top in the Big Twelve in walks-- they for sure lead the big twelve in-home runs. Very exciting to watch.
They got a Non Conference game Weds night you need to check it out.- -Huge series coming on the horizon in three weeks K /State coming in for a weekend series. K/State is leading the conference right now I think they are 5 - -1 and our boys are 6- - 3 right now.-- You really need to check them out.
The KState series and the West Virginia series at the end of the year will be very important for them.
Last time in the college world series I think was the 90's? One great year we made a FF, Bowl game, and CWS, one of a few teams to do so. Probably 93 since that was a FF year.
@wissox ya your probably right I can't remember for sure what year that was. I remember it, but I can't remember the year. I think we will at least get into the regionals -then just play hard and hope for the best after that. I think these guys are a group that will battle to the last pitch-- -they fall behind, they have come right back- They got me excited, great group of kids

KU hit Three more Home runs just smashing the ball - -Leading the league in home runs and leading the league in walks, Sixth in the Nation in Home runs & Sixth in the Nation in walks.
Even the announcers not KU announcers actually believe these guys were UCF announces , talking about how dangerous KU was one through nine in the batting order. How KU hitters just don't go after bad pitch's - -how they work deep in the count , making pitchers work. How good they are defensively -31st in the Nation- -Go for the sweep this afternoon at 1:00 'm telling you , you need to check these guys out
KU completes the Sweep of UCF- -- winning- -13- - -4 . - -9-3 in the league , - -two more home runs today, think they said that a stat is when KU hits two home runs or more in a game this Season they are now like 25-- - 3.-- Thats crazy.-- -Nebraska up next
Read where the guys have now hit 73 home runs two away from the - School record. - -Their 27-- -6 record is the best in School History , ranked 23r but probably going up and will be ranked by the other recruiting services. Plus we are now FIRST in the League with our 9 -3 record,
A couple of really tough series coming up. We have TCU @ TCU for three and then not this weekend but the next we have KSU at Hoglund for a HUGE , HUGE three games series. Hope fans show
Yeah, the TCU series suddenly became more relevant. TCU is just one game back from KU in the league standings. They have been a solid team lately as well, did some damage in the postseason last few years if I recall. Will be a good test.

Some pertty good nuggets about our boys on the diamond this Season , pretty special and have accomplished a lot of new.
KU is now ranked # 19 in the Nation by Baseball America - --# 22 by D-1 baseball USA Today & NCWBA.
In 135 years of baseball for us our - - -27- - -- 6 record is the best record through the first 33 games in School History & -- -9- -3 in conference play is the best start in Big twelve history.
Some other interesting nuggets include :KU leads the Big 12 in walks & and 3 rd in the Nation - -- - KU has hit 73 home runs so far three away from setting a School record in a Season - - -KU is tied for 6th in the Nation in hits -- -- KU is tied for 7th in the Nation in Runs Scored- ---- 8th in the Nation in Slugging percentage-- - 11th in the Nation for Runs scored per game - -- & 15th in the Nation in on Base percentage- - -& they are ranked 31at in the Nation on fielding- - they are racking up some pretty impressive things guys - -you need to check them out

Mercy the boys hittin some bad timing. --Got clobbered last night `4--- -1 and today excellent pitching but they can't give him any run support. -Bases loaded- -no outs and they hit two little nubbers that don't travel 10 feet and strike out, ////// Could very well turn the game KU up 1-0 but golden opportunity and nothing.
Well the guys finally broke their losing four game skid.- --- Won their game against Wichita State Tuesday Night-- --18--- -12 and are now 28-10 on the Season, probably lost their chance at hosting a Regional but still in very good shape to make playoffs. Really rough weekend last weekend getting swept by TCU
Huge Three game series at Home against KSU this weekend at home.-- All three days are sell outs so be a sweet crowd hope we can kick some butt.- - let's do this guys

What a win for the good guys.- - Shows just what a loyal fan I am lol. I had given up hope for this night. Our boys had shown absolutely nothing all night , KSU starter Frost was totally dominating the game into the Seventh. KU had two hits and showed no signs of life then-- - BAM.

Wow, that Friday night game against KSU was awesome. KU had no answers for 7 innings and once the starting pitcher exited they came alive with a huge blast to take the lead. It was tough to watch those first seven innings but if you hung on and didn't turn off the tv you were in for a treat to see what happened. Getting that sweep of KSU was huge. Their schedule looks fairly easy the rest of the way until the last three games on the road at WV. Just focus on taking care of business the rest of the way. WV looks dangerous though.

Well the boys worked out another win tonight beating Utah - -2-- 0 , now 33- - -10 overall record- --- &- -13 - -6 in League. going into tonight was tied for 2nd,
Great pitching by both teams , nothing happening for either teem until the 7th & KU took the lead with a solo Hr, their 81st on the year.
Coming into tonight KU pitchers had 4 shutouts on the Season which gave them tie for the lead in that, and they were 14th Nationally in Shut outs.-- With the Shutout tonight making their 5th , don't know where that puts them.
Hauge leads the Conference in HR with 17--- 3rd Nationally--- & 60 RBI'S----4th Nationally Good win guys keep working. Tomorrow at 2: 00 =ROCK CHALK
Well ew won again, we are now on another long winning streak , have won seven in a row now 14 - - 6 in league and 34--- -& - -10 overall.
We won and yeet kind of a frustrating day , Utah pitcher was in trouble all day long either behind in counts or giving up hits , but we left nine men stranded- - struck out eleven times- - but that was off set by Ku getting eleven free passes our selves.
Just frustrating very happy with the win but should of really curb stomped them. -- Game ended up 12- - - 5 , it was 1- -2 in the bottom of the ninth with two outs reliever gave up three run homer, but Ku had several opportunities for more runs should of easily been seventeen-- - eighteen to five. Still good win

@mayjay Well evidentially some service has us ranked right now, as during the game it kept showing # 23 KU. I know we was ranked earlier by multiple then turned around and lost and dropped out, I am checking tomorrow I always check Base Ball America they had us ranked before.

Here is a question cause I don't know. But I thought they had done away with teams being able to make drastic shifts in the infield trying to adjust for hitters. Having four players on the first base side for an example. Or is that just in the Major. thought that got done away with.

On3 currently has KU projected as a 2 seed in the Fayetteville Regional, but if KU finishes strong, could end up hosting a regional.

Really like our line up 1-9 just really not a weak link in it. These guys make opposing pitchers' really work working deep in count, fouling off multiple pitchs until they get their pitch.
Good hitting Tem batting 295 Team batting average , they lead the Big Twelve in several areas and rank Nationally in multiple areas
Seems like the best thing for this team is to NOT be ranked again for now. Every time they end up losing a series 3-0 to an unranked team. TCU is pretty decent but Cincy not as good, surprising they lost all three at home. Need to bounce back and close out strong.
.Just a pathetic showing for the Pitching staff this weekend for the Hawks didn't show, Probably took care of any slim chance they might of had hosting a regional-- Cincinnati just flat took them to the wood shed- --Horrible scores.
Well KU came back and won one beating Missouri 6 - - -5 wasn't easy. KU struggling at the wrong time, but a win is a win right ,- - -37-- - 13 on the year now and weekend series against BYU
KU took 2 of 3 from BYU. They can't won the regular season title even if they swept WVU next weekend as they're now 4 games back. KU could end up anywhere from 2nd to 6th in the regular season standings depending on how everyone does this weekend. KU currently sits tied for 3rd with TCU at 17-10 and is a game back of 2nd place Arizona St., and a game up on Arizona and KSU.
Really big series to end the season, three games at WVU. I would like to think they are in the post season but don't leave it up to the committee. If they win the series I think they for sure make it. If they get swept and end up 6th in the big 12 I would be nervous. I think Big 12 is usually a 4-5 bid league. I think this year a case could be made for 6 but the SEC always gets a ton of teams in. How do you guys see it?
@Texas-Hawk-10 I'm seeing KU as 3 games back in the standings. Maybe this site isn't updated but if that is true, a sweep would put them tied with WVU for champions as long as ASU doesn't win out (they have 4 games left).

After yesterday's win and how the rest of the games played out, I think KU is a lock for the tournament. ASU also lost yesterday which actually gives KU control of their own destiny. Cincinnati has made a case to be one of the last few teams in the post season, actually saw them included in a tournament bracket projection that had 7 teams from the Big12 in it. That would be a lot. Purple kitties should be nervous. Also, OSU has quietly been creeping up the standings, nobody has been talking about them and they are normally one of the top teams in the conference, could they possibly sneak in if several bubble teams end on a low note? WVU, KU, TCU, ASU, and AZ are probably in the post season. Cincy, KSU, and maaaybe OSU have a chance to get in as well. OSU resume looks pretty weak to me, I doubt they have much of a chance.
Its an exciting time of the year - would love to see KU bring home a conference championship in a very unlikely sport!

KU will be the 2 seed in the Big 12 Tournament in Arlington next week. Their first game will be Thursday at 3pm against the winner Oklahoma St. and Baylor.

d1baseball put out a new playoff projection on May 18th that shows (8) Big 12 teams in the playoffs! The 8th team is OSU as speculated above. It shows KU as a #2 seed and TCU as the only team hosting a regional likely due to their RPI. I think if KU wins the Big 12 tournament they have a shot at being one of the top 16 seeds and hosting a playoff regional, how cool would that be? Link for the playoff projection:

If KU beats Creighton on Friday, they play the winner of North Dakota St. vs Arkansas (# 3 overall seed).
If KU wins the regional they play the winner of the Knoxville regional: Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Tennessee (#14 seed), or Miami.
Going to be fun to watch! 8 teams from the big 12 made it, 3 were in the ‘last four in’ group.
