WS Game 5 -- Royals vs Giants
Oct 26, 2014 11:16 PM #1

@globaljaybird I'm thinking a good omen for us tonite as Jr won and Jeff finished 2nd at Martinsville today.

@brooksmd Thanks for the info - sounds good. They did beat Bumgardner when they played the season series so it very well may be that they have their way tonight. They did have some chances with him in game one but Esobar couldn't lay off the high hard one & Ned let Hos hack at the first pitch with the sacks full. All of them have to be more disciplined tonight.

@globaljaybird let's go royalsπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hoping for two things tonight, a Royals win and a game that will let me go to bed after it's over, in other words, 10:15 or so.

@wissoxfan83 well if it takes all night, you will just have to toughen up! Jk

Be back in a bit. We're skyping with son and family in Aussie land. And looking at grand baby.

@Crimsonorblue22 These guys have to lay off the flippin fastball that's shoulder/chin high. He's whiffed 5 in 3 innings & now the cutter is catching the low outside corner & that's what he thrives on. One run could be enough for him unless we have better plate discipline.

@brooksmd enjoy POPS!

Oct 27, 2014 01:49 AM #9

Shield is in no mans land now. Down 2 zip to Bumgardner is all we can stand. Game has been so damn boring have been switching to disc channel. My new bud is enjoying the evening gnawing on rawhide after a day of basketball. He's been sleeping sound all night & still no puddles.

@globaljaybird Good thing Cain has a good horse under him.

@globaljaybird Did you see my comment last night about Mikey and the propane gas hose?

@brooksmd Yes I did. The things we put up with!! Once Woody got in a trash can in the basement & chewed up about 6 Bud Light cans. That was about a day after he got Moms $200 comforter. Been mucho destruction thru the years in our camp-drapes, mini blinds, boots, eyeglasses, furniture, carpet, you name it.

@globaljaybird When I was stationed in Denver I had a cocker. Came home one day and in her boredom she attacked a stack of LP's I had leaning against stereo shelf. Didn't totally destroy 1 or 2. She bit into about 20.

@globaljaybird I like the new avater. So is it Rascal or Moose?

Oct 27, 2014 02:17 AM #16

Ok guys lets send Baumgardner to the showers

Oct 27, 2014 02:23 AM #17

@brooksmd Mom likes Rascal & if Mama ain't happy then nobody's happy. On the trip home the other night I picked up a strong kennel & zip tie the door from past exp. Trying to get him used to it little at a time. So far he's not whizzed in it or chewed up the floor.....so far.

If I was an ump behind the plate I'd still be using that big ol protector from the old days.

Oct 27, 2014 02:52 AM #19

I'm so tired of Pence.

Oct 27, 2014 02:54 AM #20

@brooksmd That reasoning is why we've lived this long. A Dad wanted to catch BP one time at my LL team practice with no gear-could not discourage him enough of danger- 1st pitch foul tip right in the chops. Lotsa blood ensued. Was funny but I could not laugh at the time. Tried hard to stop hiim oh well. Live & learn the hard way.

Oct 27, 2014 02:58 AM #21

@globaljaybird lol At least a mask even in LL. That old protector an ump could hide behind and it'd probably stop cannon ball.

In 2007 I thought I had our new German Shepherd pup under control. She did not play with her chew toys much though.
One day I noticed. A dining room chair damaged on the bottom rung. Then saw half of the six chewed on and low window sills next to the table and a few low cabinet corners as well. I yelled at her and pushed her face against one of them yelling no, then took her outside in low key mode and talked to he softly, gave her a tree branch and praised her for taking in her mouth. She chewed it and I praised her. That was one time I corrected a behavior I didn't catch a dog red handed at.

If this damn series goes 7, Shields needs to give it up for Guthrie or Vargas. And Ned needs to go back to his set lineup. I thought he would tonight v Bumhardner.

Oct 27, 2014 03:06 AM #24

Well I'm bailing and gonna catch the last 10 minutes of Saints game.

Oct 27, 2014 03:13 AM #25

I was drafting a long reply about -okay we lose this game but keep the score where it is here in the 8th so Bumgarner is tired and maybe we don't face him again. It wasn't to be, before I hit submit they score two and then 3. Ugh.

Oct 27, 2014 03:19 AM #26

@brooksmd Davis is feeling the pressure tonite too. Also Shields may very well have thrown his last pitch as a Royal. Am headin for the shower myself.

Ned has a smile like he's thinks he's in Frisco heaven (sombrero land). LOL

@JayhawkRock78 I thought Bochy would lift him for the PH to save some strength for a poss game 7, Hopefully that ends up a BIG mistake on his part this Wednesday. Wait & see. Gotta win 6 first
