NBC Sports report on Cliff

Story about Cliff this am on nbc from KC Star. Star is another online paper to limit your access without a monthly subscription fee. Traditionally they have covered the Jayhawks & conf well but still give KU flack for not playing misery any longer. Personally I wouldn't mind beating the snot outta them occasionally just to put them in their rightful place. Anyone else feel this way?

@globaljaybird

I'd rather play Wichita State than Mizzou... at least WSU is a program tilting upward. I'm not trying to start that discussion again because most everyone in here has their opinions seated well and unlikely to change.

At least with WSU we play a ranked opponent. With Mizzou, their low status and high motivation to beat us is definitely a no-win situation!

@drgnslayr Every one likes a cup cake now & then. I just miss beatin the dog krap out of misery & listening the all the whiners cry afterwards. One of the biggest moaners of all is Jack Harry sportcaster on local tv. About a year ago a guy filling in for him one night said "Good evening everyone I'm Lance Bieker filling in tonight for Jack Harry, Jack's off !" Trust me the guys that bag on the Jayhawks are a piece of work to enjoy.

Yes, I want to play Misery every year. I'd rather see KU play good teams than let's say, Alcorn St. from a couple years ago. Saying we're going to not play them since they left sounds childish to me.

Nov 03, 2014 10:36 PM #7

@wissoxfan83 I agree 100% ... but you and I are in the minority.

Nov 03, 2014 10:43 PM #8

@wissoxfan83 & @HighEliteMajor At first I didn't give a hoot but I really savored beating them with the intensity of the rivalry as it has always been. IMO we've no other opponent who creates that intensity. KSU is a meager second. Long as Bill's here, just like turning 3 pt shooters loose, it ain't gonna happen

@globaljaybird

Woah... is it me, or does Cliff look a lot more cut all ready! Dude looks absolutely ferocious!

Nov 03, 2014 10:49 PM #10

@drgnslayr Yeah he looks like he's been lifting for some time now. Not the typical hs senior appearance if you ask me. When he gets called for a charge he should get his money's worth.

Nov 03, 2014 10:52 PM #11

@HighEliteMajor & @wissoxfan83 Count me in. We should play them.

Nov 03, 2014 10:55 PM #12

@HighEliteMajor Since Washburn is just an exhibition, how bout you try posting to @Jesse-Newell's blog tonite?!?!

Nov 03, 2014 11:39 PM #13

@drgnslayr

I posted a couple of days ago matching photos of Jamari and Cliff; Jamari is cut.Cliff is not.

Nov 03, 2014 11:54 PM #14

@JayHawkFanToo but, Cliff is better than when he got here.

Nov 04, 2014 01:54 AM #15

@Crimsonorblue22

Agreed, but he is nowhere near where is is going to be, particularly if he stays more than one year.

Nov 04, 2014 02:09 AM #16

not even remotely likely

@globaljaybird "When he gets called for a charge he should get his money's worth." +100
I know it was just Washburn but think I'm already starting to develope a man crush on Big Cliff.

Can't say I want to see Fizzou ever step foot in PA again. But I might reconsider if they crawl on their hands and knees from Columbia, kiss HCBS's feet and beg for forgiveness.

Who's this Mizzou you speak of? b)
