Haven't read it yet but let me guess.... Tharpe at PG, Selden at SG, Wiggins at SF, Ellis at PF, and Black at C. Anything else and he's wrong.

My fault, the title of my post was misleading, changed it... he isnt speculating on starting rotations, just speculating on rotations. Not really fair to Keegan :)

Remember, Keegan said Mason would start at PG back in June. I thought that was silly, but left the door open thinking he might have some inside info. Really, he just bought what Self was selling .. chatter to motivate Tharpe.

Mason isn't a top 50 guy. But I really like what I saw from him and can understand why those that saw him would be impressed.

I agree with others here. After listening to Self, it seems pretty obvious who the top 8 are: Tharpe, Selden, Wiggins, Ellis, Black, Traylor, Embiid, White. Mason will likely get 8-10 minutes backing up Tharpe. I don't think he will ask Greene to redshirt, because he can come in handy this season as he continues to develop. Frankamp is the likely candidate, but then again, if Self is going all in to win a championship this year, he may want to keep Frankamp's sharp-shooting in the arsenal.

Interesting thought...but I just don't see HCBS sending in a shooter cold to hit a shot. My guess is if Tharpe, Selden et al are the guards during the year/game then they will be the guys to hit the buzzer beaters. It's who will be the end-of-game Alpha dog. I could certainly see CF that guy in the future...for sure.

I'm thinking AW3 will hit some big shots for us this year honestly...when Selden's shots aren't falling AW3 will probably save the day in a few games...

Of the players that will see potentially significant playing time and that are not bigs, i.e. Tharpe, Mason, Frankamp, Selden, White, Greene, Wigging and even Ellis, all are capable of shooting the three. I don't think scoring from outside is going to be an issue this season.

Based on past history, it is safe to assume that the PG position is Tharpe's to lose; I would be shocked if he is not the starter at the beginning of the season.

I'm assuming that those who started on the blue squad at today's scrimmage have earned the highest favor from bill self thus far. Right now it looks like AWIII will be the primary back up for Wiggins. But Greene looked pretty good. White just needs confidence. He missed his first three or four badly, but then he made his next four...

Self seems to like CF shooting ability and if this was another year I would say we need him to spread the D. This year we have so many who can shoot the ball he should probably red shirt. Him or Greene. Any guesses on transfers after this year?

good point farside. If, late in the season, shots aren't falling and the team needs some instant offense, I could see Coach pull Conner off the bench and say ok kid go get me 10 points and he will do it. I mean he is like a 90% shooter from everywhere. *slight exageration

I don't want anyone to transfer!

Little too early for transfer talk. I believe all are keepers. No one-and-flushers on this team.

History shows us that at least a couple will end up transferring. It will all come down to who does and does not get the playing time. It all remains to be seen

If we sign a #1 recruiting class I see some guys transferring. If we miss on all of these top guys the players we have will stick around.
