Think Turg is ready for huggie? Heard somebody ask huggie why he didn't wear a suit and he said he wasn't a banker.

@Crimsonorblue22

Good answer. In a lot of other sports coaches wear warm ups. I am not sure whether to cheer for former KU Tugeon or Big 12 WVU; Vegas has them even.

Mar 22, 2015 06:24 AM #4

@JayHawkFanToo Any former Hawk will come before anyone else. F.O.E.! RCJH!

Mar 22, 2015 03:23 PM #5

@Shanghai_RCJH
Sorry but I would rather WVU win than Maryland.

Mar 22, 2015 04:49 PM #6

@Crimsonorblue22That is a Huggie Hall Of Fame answer...omg...lol.

Mar 22, 2015 04:50 PM #7

@JayhawkRock78 I'm going for wv too. Love turg too.

Mar 22, 2015 04:52 PM #8

WVU all the way. If Turg wants to come back to the Big 12, I'll root for him again ( as long as he isn't playing KU ).

Mar 22, 2015 05:00 PM #9

@Shanghai_RCJH

A win by WVU helps KU more than win by Maryland (conference prestige) so I will root for Huggy and the Mountaineers.

You know what pisses me off about this schedule? A scheduled starting time of 7:40 PM on a Sunday night. Of course, that's 8:40 eastern time and you also know that these games as the day wears on start later than the scheduled time. So you're asking Maryland and WV fans who live in the east coast to have to start watching a game at almost 9 PM! It's not like the first two days of the tourney where just to fit everything in you have to start some games late. It's the weekend, there's no need for it.

Huggie mentioned this in a presser the other day and he's also pissed about it. Ironically, since he also has a rep for not having the best students, his biggest gripe is with the concept of student athletes who won't be alert and ready for class Monday morning.

If you look at todays schedule. One game at 11, one game at 1:30, our game at 4, and another starts at 5. The rest of the day are all kinds of games which overlap. Why not stagger starts starting at 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Then fans can watch the ends of games, and have better choices of games to watch.

The NCAA did right by expanding the viewing options with TRu, TBS, TNT. No more griping about which game they decide to show and having to rely on the updated score in the top of the screen.

The NCAA awards the broadcasting rights to whoever bids the highest. CBS/TNT/TBS/TrueTV have the rights now and I am sure they dictate times based on their own demographics and premiership. BTW, while prime time on Central time is 7-10 on the East Coast is 8-11.

Mar 22, 2015 06:28 PM #12

@JayHawkFanToo

I know when prime time is, but don't they still basically have the same work schedules we have in central time? In other words doesn't work start at 7 or 8 for most people there? If so a 9 oclock start is too late. It would be for me.

Mar 22, 2015 06:31 PM #13

@wissoxfan83

It really is what you are used to. When I lived on the East Coast that was the norm and when I moved to the Mid West everything thing seemed to be too early until I got use d to it,

Mar 22, 2015 06:48 PM #14

We have to thank Huggie for prepAring us for presses. WVU's was so much tougher than NMSU's thAt NMSU felt like a cakewalk.

I want to root for WVU, but Turg's Maryland would be a lot easier for Self and KU to beat. Self knows more about Larry Ball than Turg does and Self has always handled Turg, even when Turg has had good talent.

Huggie is very tough for Self even with inferior talent. I know Self has been beating Huggie at KSU and WVU, but Huggie plays a one off kind of ball and Huggie has more experience than Self. In big games, I want the more experienced coach and the elemen of surprise. Huggie has seen KU a bunch this year. Better we play Turg who hasn't seen us for awhile.

Mar 22, 2015 06:55 PM #15

@jaybate-1.0 I want Huggie vs Tucky. Huggie will give the Mildcats all they can handle, imo.

Mar 22, 2015 07:16 PM #16

I'd go for Turg also, but after all the psuedo Big 12 turkey flops Thursday we need as many as possible to move on to save face. And if Kensucky fans think Cincinnati beat them up last night, wait until Huggies boys get done with them.

@KUSTEVE

Good point. The goal of the mission is Myitkiyna. But the intermediate objective is get Kentucky one way or another.

Mar 22, 2015 08:20 PM #18

@brooksmd

There is something about the folks upstream of Louisville in that Ohio Valley that like to bring pain. just ask the Confederacy.

Mar 22, 2015 08:44 PM #19

@Crimsonorblue22 When are you going to start the KU/WSU game thread?

Mar 22, 2015 08:57 PM #20

@KUSTEVE Just started it.

Mar 22, 2015 08:59 PM #21

@KUSTEVE brooks is our lucky charm!!
