I heard michigan state signed Ben Swanigan, a big. They have the 3rd best recruiting team now.

Apr 11, 2015 02:12 AM #2

Nike hoop summit, tomorrow, sat 2:00 pm cen time, espn.

Apr 11, 2015 03:36 AM #3

Didn't the Harris kid from WV transfer to msu too?

Apr 11, 2015 03:40 AM #4

Can't wait. Let's get this recruiting ball rolling. I wanna hear some good news soon!

Apr 11, 2015 06:14 AM #5

@Crimsonorblue22

Uh oh, is MSU the designated Nike stack for the B1G now?

Tom has caved, too?

Sound of dump trucks...

Apr 11, 2015 12:46 PM #6

@Crimsonorblue22 Yes, Harris will play for MSU this year. I originally was hopeful we would handle them pretty well in November, but then I realized they had Harris. He killed us, at least in one game, at WVU.
They also have Deyontae Davis, a McDonald's AA. They are losing Trice and Dawson...everyone else back.
Now, if Swanigan is there, they will be tough.

Apr 11, 2015 12:48 PM #7

@jaybate-1.0 Some people here in Michigan like to pretend that Izzo was never on the OAD train.....the fact is he went all in for Jabari Parker....just couldn't get him. Also, Okafor and Cliff......he went after them hard.

@Crimsonorblue22 maybe just me, but didn't find either one that impressive in this one on one battle. 😏

Apr 11, 2015 02:00 PM #10

@FarSideHawk
Yes, the net result was nearly zero offense.

Apr 11, 2015 02:11 PM #11

Let's see if this works

@Crimsonorblue22 It makes me feel pretty old seeing that the current KU recruits were born in 1996.

Apr 11, 2015 03:45 PM #14

after what Maker said about staying until December where he is, no point in recruiting him anymore. I sure hope Self isn't saving a scholarship.

Michigan St. is stacked. Big 10 has 3 legit teams in St, Maryland, & Indiana

Apr 11, 2015 04:59 PM #15

I don't know if any of you guys play close attention but I would say that we have a chance at landing Ingram and Diallo. I believe KU has a better shot landing these 2 over the rest of the uncommitted guys. I know everyones high on Diallo BUT Ingram has just as much if not more potential. He is almost an Anthony Davis kinda guy where last summer he was playing a 2 and now his measurements have exploded. I hope we land BOTH of them and soon! Measurements at the Nike hoop summit.
Brandon Ingram, Undecided
247Sports Composite Rank: 12
Height (w/shoes): 6-9.5
Weight: 196
Wingspan: 7-3
Standing Reach: 9-1.5
Cheick Diallo, Undecided
247Sports Composite Rank: 6
Height (w/shoes): 6-9
Weight: 220
Wingspan: 7-4
Standing Reach: 9-1

Apr 11, 2015 05:02 PM #16

@Statmachine Well I hope you are right. But, a lot of people think Ingram will not leave the state of NC.

Apr 11, 2015 05:52 PM #17

I just saw this....Tatum out of St. Louis eliminated us. I was a little surprised....we had been recruiting him hard, I thought, and we usually do well with guys that close to home.....I thought we would at least be in it to the end with him.

Apr 11, 2015 06:10 PM #18

@Hawk8086

Duke Bound..

OAD..

There's other fish, but it is surprising we didn't make him our #1 priority, but what makes sense in recruiting

Apr 11, 2015 07:00 PM #19

Nike hoop summit is on espn2, I said espn earlier. It's on now, 2.

Apr 11, 2015 07:13 PM #20

@BeddieKU23 Ingram? or Tatum?

Apr 11, 2015 07:22 PM #21

Tatum

Apr 11, 2015 07:26 PM #22

Diallo dominating. spin move dunk,2 put-backs. couple rebounds and a block. his effort is unlike any big i've seen in years

Apr 11, 2015 07:27 PM #23

@BeddieKU23 we need him!

Apr 11, 2015 07:28 PM #24

@Crimsonorblue22

wow brown tried to sky for a dunk Diallo said No No. wow can't believe that was a foul.

Brown had himself a highlight dunk a few minutes ago

Apr 11, 2015 07:29 PM #25

Jamal Murray is a guard I'd love to have. Plays with Maker in Canada. Might re-classify still.

Apr 11, 2015 07:30 PM #26

@BeddieKU23 he the one hitting the 3's?

Apr 11, 2015 07:33 PM #27

@Crimsonorblue22

yes and dunked on zimmerman

Apr 11, 2015 07:34 PM #28

@BeddieKU23 Zimmerman just doesn't seem to tough! I love that Simmons kid.

Apr 11, 2015 07:36 PM #29

@Crimsonorblue22

Zimmerman is all finese. He'd be great in college if he stayed a few years but we already know hes only going to half try next year.

Newman is a chucker but he can sure score.

Apr 11, 2015 07:37 PM #30

@Crimsonorblue22

Zimmerman is all finese. He'd be great in college if he stayed a few years but we already know hes only going to half try next year.

Newman is a chucker but he can sure score.

Simmons has such great versatility and IQ, hard to believe he's 6'9 the way he runs

Apr 11, 2015 07:46 PM #31

Murray a heady player.

Diallo on the bench has let USA back in.

Apr 11, 2015 07:48 PM #32

@BeddieKU23 if Zimmerman gave Self 3 years, he'd be really good!

Apr 11, 2015 07:55 PM #33

@Crimsonorblue22

Agreed but that will never happen.

I like Ingram's game, his legs scare me feel like they could snap any moment.
and Trier but we never got involved enough for him.

Apr 11, 2015 08:31 PM #34

diallo with a huge block and 2 FT's then another dunk

Apr 11, 2015 08:32 PM #35

blocks swanigan for a murray dunk

Apr 11, 2015 08:33 PM #36

IF Diallo isn't the answer to our problems in the post then I must be blind. Kid can flat out play

Apr 11, 2015 08:34 PM #37

@BeddieKU23 I agree 100%

Apr 11, 2015 08:34 PM #38

I can not stand Fran!

Apr 11, 2015 08:36 PM #39

@Crimsonorblue22

I used to love him but he's quickly become the most annoying man on TV. And worse is he calls the Big 12 exclusively..

Apr 11, 2015 08:37 PM #40

Kennard kid to Duke can shoot!

Apr 11, 2015 08:37 PM #41

If Murray doesn't re-classify he's a top 10 kid. Sneaky athleticism. I know other programs are after him harder but Self should definitely get in the running.

Apr 11, 2015 08:38 PM #42

@BeddieKU23 hes so jealous! He can't say anything positive about ku, unless he's sucking up!

Apr 11, 2015 08:40 PM #43

I want Ingram too, bulk him up in 3 years!

Apr 11, 2015 08:41 PM #44

Definitely since his kid went to Oklahoma he's become so biased and become obsessed with wanting KU to lose.

Biancardi with honest assesment of Diallo. Trouble scoring in half-court setting, that's evident but that's why we have Ellis. Everything else he does better than any big we have currently.

The kid going to UK, Labisserre is got game

Apr 11, 2015 08:43 PM #45

@BeddieKU23 I hear they compare him to Davis.

Apr 11, 2015 08:44 PM #46

@Crimsonorblue22

Very similar frame and game.

Murray with 25 unstoppable

Kennard can shoot. Reminds of Scheyer

Apr 11, 2015 08:45 PM #47

@BeddieKU23 how old is Murray? Man!

Apr 11, 2015 08:47 PM #48

@Crimsonorblue22

Still a Junior. He was really good in this game last year as a Soph. This year he's been unstoppable.

If we had a need a PG i'd say lock him up but we are unlikely to be involved with what we got

Apr 11, 2015 08:49 PM #49

@BeddieKU23 I meant years, he acts and looks a lot older than 16 or 17.

Apr 11, 2015 08:53 PM #50

Fran said he was 18

Apr 11, 2015 08:55 PM #51

Any body know about this guard?

Jeff Borzello
Mercer guard Ike Nwamu got his release this week and will transfer, sources told ESPN. Should be eligible immediately, averaged 15.1 PPG.

Apr 11, 2015 09:00 PM #52

@dylans

2 years ago he helped beat Duke in the first round of the NCAA tourney. Last year he was their best player on a team that lost everything from that run. I can safely say he won't be going to KU

Apr 11, 2015 09:01 PM #53

Was Diello supposed to be committing today or is that next week?

Apr 11, 2015 09:04 PM #54

@FarSideHawk

next week maybe.

Apr 11, 2015 09:04 PM #55

The scuttle was after the game. I don't think it will be long, but I doubt we'll hear anything today.

Apr 13, 2015 02:14 PM #56

Per ESPN" target="_blank" rel="noopener">http://espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/on-the-trail/insider/post?id=13607) ↗

Will De'Aaron Fox be the next Texas player to be pulled out of the state by Kansas? The Jayhawks just had Kelly Oubre, who left Lawrence after his freshman season to enter the NBA draft, and they’re hoping to steal another five-star prospect from the Houston Hoops AAU program. Fox (No. 13), a 6-foot-3 scoring guard, has a long list of schools -- Kansas State, Texas, Baylor, Arkansas, LSU, Louisville, North Carolina State -- but Kansas is making a strong push. Fox visited there in the fall for Late Night in the Phog, and Oubre’s time there made an impression on Fox. “He loved it,” Fox said. “Everything is earned. Coach Self wants to get the best out of you, and he’s going to sit you if he doesn’t.”

Apr 13, 2015 02:16 PM #57

@dylans smart(not the coach) kid! Ha ha

Apr 13, 2015 03:20 PM #58

@dylans

Fox would be a fantastic get and ideal replacement for Selden if Wayne improves and heads off the NBA.

I saw that Smart is after Fox too but I think Self locked in early enough for KU to be a in great position with him. Hopefully we get him on campus again for Late Night.
