@Marco I normally would agree with you. But, if they really think he can contribute ....and in my mind that means can he help our outside shooting...then I would say let him play. You have to go for a NC when you have the chance. That said, I recall that he looked pretty tentative in the pre-season? That would suggest that he would not be ready to really help. But we are all only guessing.

@BShark Isn't the bigger issue that there are no outstanding teams this year? Apparently, at least, so far. That gives our flawed outside shooting team that plays good defense and has a big man that teams will always have to account for, as good a chance as anyone?

@HighEliteMajor The guy does so many things well....the only thing he doesn't do that well is shoot from the outside. You can see that it does hurt us in that the defense doesn't have to respect his shot. Positives far out weigh that one flaw. But agree it would be nice.

@nuleafjhawk I keep waiting for that to happen and it hasn't. They have been consistently good all year for the most part, so I tend to think this Baylor team will be different. We can hope, though.

I still can t believe that we gave up 15 straight points to these guys. And we didn't even sniff a basket during that time.

Just a brutal last few minutes. What shots we did get off were ridiculously bad.

I thought the Big 12 showed pretty well. KSU and UT with comebacks that fell a little short. Of course, they weren't impressive to fall behind like that. OU and OSU winning were a little surprising to me.

@bskeet Agree. In the past, Baylor has had teams that could beat anyone (and they often did) but could always lose to anyone (and they always did). This team seems different. I'm with @jayballer73 . Great defensively and they can shoot. Right now they are better than us.

@BeddieKU23 They certainly executed poorly down the stretch...Regulation and OT.

You could tell Doke was being careful on defense...I think it cost him a couple of rebounds.

Really bad trip down by the officials. Marcus gets clocked and nothing and then gets called for a small bump. Ocahi doesn't help with that Matador defense.

I'm leaning with @SouthernHawk . Not feeling good about OU. Either Baylor or Tech could easily go down as well. Will be interesting to see Baylor go on the road...... they've proven themselves so far.

@jayballer73 You seem to frequent other teams fan sites. I'm curious if you have explored what the KSU fans are saying about this.

@HighEliteMajor I tend to agree with you on the standing over a player...and what has Self done to discourage that. We don't really know. I disagree with wishing Silvio would go elsewhere, but I understand your logic. With all of that has gone on, he may do that on his own. This suspension goes a long ways in ending his season. It's hard to see how he improves without getting in some games and gaining some confidence and earning some with Self. Unless there is an injury, he will most likely just be an emergency 5 in the Dance.
I still hold out hope that he can be an important player for us next year.
