The answer to your first question might be answered had the senate heard from witnesses. Secondly, it was not just to some requests for documents but a refusal to turn over all documents. If, as it has been so frequently noted—one is so innocent of any wrongdoing why hide everything. You would think you would want to produce the witnesses and documents to show it.

Do we really want to live in a country where the executive branch can deny Congress the ability to oversee it? That gives the presidency far too much power. If the president can’t be impeached nor indicted aren’t his /her powers as great as any dictators? I find it sad that all members of Congress can think about is their own re-election.

Apparently KU has not declared DeSousa ineligible at this point since he has traveled with the team. NCAA rules would not allow him to travel had he been declared ineligible. If you read the statement carefully it states that KU prepared to declare him ineligible, not that they have done so. Obviously things are still some distance from being worked out.
Anyone notice DeSousa was not mentioned.
Don’t count on De Sousa. From all the reporting he won’t be available—either it will be uncertain if he is clear to play or he will have moved on. I would love for him be available but the odds seem very much against it being so.
If the compliance office investigated the whole situation prior to turning it over to the NCAA shouldn't they have some feel about the outcome?
Where did you learn that KU would have information on players status by Monday afternoon?
