I didn't think the defense was that bad honestly. The shots Baylor made in the half-court weren't great looks. The easy shots they got were off of our dumb turnovers.

First 4-5 minutes will huge here. If KU comes out flat again this will be a 20 point game and all over.

@Woodrow Baylor's half-court sets have pretty much consisted of iso-plays leading to pull-up 3's or dishes for lay-ups. I haven't been overly impressed with any of the action Baylor has ran other than a good baseline lob out of a timeout.

Mostly I think Baylor's dudes have just played their ass off today and wanted it more than we did. I guess credit coach for that, but I don't think Drew has been masterminding this game.

Here’s the problem. The turnover issue isn’t going away and the team can’t shoot. So when teams take Doke away the identity of the team is zapped.

Yes, KU has lost to the 3 best teams we've played, while Baylor has beaten Villanova, Arizona, Butler, Texas Tech and us (at home). Doesn't seem like there is much question that Baylor is the better team, at least until this point.

Because of our defense and size/length, we can play with anyone and beat them on most nights. But it is clear at this point that this is a deeply flawed team offensively - no consistent outside threat from anyone, only two decent ball handlers and no one that passes well. It's very difficult to envision this team winning 6 in a row against good competition.

Those above me who feel booing their own team is ok, that we should immediately fire our coach, that our players don't care, etc etc - just stop. It's people like you that I never go back to that other site as it runs rampant there. Win, lose, we are Jayhawks. I've been a fan since my dad took me to the Phog as a little guy and fell in love with it all. Went to school there for 6 years and camped for every single game. Had great wins and hard losses, but that's part of the game. I completely understand it's upsetting, but to target and boo your own team? Sad. Hell I think leaving early is sad. You know this is wrong and if you don't, well, you're just another privileged fan KU has so many of.

These guys bust their ass all year long. They clearly played hurt today, show at least a modicum of respect.

Udoka Azubuike is KU's most important player period. 4 shots against Duke, 6 shots today. It really is as simple as stop Doke, stop KU's offense. KU has to figure out how to get Doke involved in games where the defense is doubling him. This was a game KU should've run a two big offense and let Doke feed McCormack off his double teams. That would've sacrificed a little bit defensively, but would've helped the offense out a bunch. Self got outcoached by Scott Drew today.
