The play of Wayne Selden, the recovery of Greene, the learning curve of Diallo and the backup Bigs will determine if this will come true.

It's really amazing to see the transformation of this team from their uninspiring finish to the season to being at or near the top of most lists of top teams going into next season.

@wissoxfan83 no transformations yet, just expectations!

@wrwlumpy

...and perhaps the support of a couple of players we haven't even signed yet!

Not bad to go off and represent the USA as the #1 ranked team. Now start thinking like a number one team and start off by kicking some Canadian butt.

I'm in the temper expectations category. If you read the article, they stress that their pick of KU is fairly tepid, and more based on the fact that they're a veteran team that added great prospects in a year where there are no obviously great teams. I think we've got a long way to go, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it all come together either. The WUG should help bring this team along ahead of schedule as well.

@wrwlumpy to bad we can't take 2 of the guys that help us be #1!

I think the WUG will be great preparation for the season and give us a leg up, especially early on in the season much like it did for UK. They had like 8 or 9 games against professional teams under their belt before we played them. This experience may lead to us going deeper in March and we will have good upperclassmen leadership who has experienced back to back season of early tourney exits and may be the disappointment we needed to cut down the nets the first weekend in April.
