Alrighty now, Rangers vs Royals game 1...
Jun 06, 2015 12:18 AM #1

What's up Royals' fans? I hope this start is just a small bump in the road.

Jun 06, 2015 12:19 AM #2

Got me a fresh pot of mudbug/sausage jambalaya ready, with fresh french bread and a 12 pak of PBR. Let's play some Royals baseball.

Jun 06, 2015 12:20 AM #3

@brooksmd here! Cleaning house, one at rehearsal and other one and family on the way. Rio had a good checkup, the vet was wondering when I'd be back in. Probably cause she made a ton of money off me, especially at the end!

Jun 06, 2015 12:24 AM #4

@Crimsonorblue22 Yeah, we used to give ours their shots, but now if you buy the meds you don't get tags, which means whenever you take them somewhere you have to bring documentation and labels off the serum bottles. Think the last time I took the 2 younger ones it was about $600.

Jun 06, 2015 12:25 AM #5

@brooksmd BS call!

Jun 06, 2015 12:26 AM #6

Mudbug?

Jun 06, 2015 12:28 AM #7

@Crimsonorblue22 No MLB.tv tonight. Ranger tv on FoxSports. Just have to listen to Ranger broadcast. These guys were surprised the Moose play was overturned.

Jun 06, 2015 12:29 AM #8

@Crimsonorblue22 Come on Soft Hands Hoz, we want a HR.

Jun 06, 2015 12:29 AM #9

@brooksmd What ? PBR ? Whas wrong wichu? Cubs guys drink Old Style ...

Jun 06, 2015 12:33 AM #10

@globaljaybird PBR pretty good. Don't think store has Old Style. Local family owned grocery. Has probably the best beer/wine/alcohol sections you'll ever find. Lots of foreign beer, and you can buy singles to get a variety to taste.

MOOOOSE!!!

Jun 06, 2015 12:37 AM #11

@globaljaybird You name an American whisky, they probably have it. Even had a new display of Crown Royal Rye. Didn't get one as I already had a bottle of tequila in the cart.

@globaljaybird As I recall when I was a kid when dad was stationed at Great Lakes NTC, watched Cubs on WGN and this was the [beer](

Jun 06, 2015 12:55 AM #14

Hope this Royals bat cooling period ends soon.

Jun 06, 2015 12:56 AM #15

@brooksmd Old Style isn't easy to find here either. Don't drink much suds any more but CB or Couvosier or Henessy... in the blink of an eye. Rascal just got his bath & brushing think Ill partake in one now. Salute !!

Jun 06, 2015 12:57 AM #16

@globaljaybird Yep gonna get me a bowl of jambalaya and a cold PBR.

Jun 06, 2015 12:59 AM #17

@brooksmd "From the land of sky blue water..."

Jun 06, 2015 01:06 AM #18

Nothing good ever comes from walking leadoff hitter.

Jun 06, 2015 01:10 AM #19

@brooksmd still don't know what mud bugs is!

Jun 06, 2015 01:10 AM #20

@globaljaybird @Crimsonorblue22 Anybody hear how Chu-Chu's visit went this week? Do we have any way of getting him a scholarship?

Jun 06, 2015 01:13 AM #21

@brooksmd I don't think so. KU sports said visit went well, vague! My only guess is maybe Hunter wants to play and after WUG he heads to div 2, Washburn.

Jun 06, 2015 01:14 AM #22

@Crimsonorblue22 Crawfish, crawdads.....

Jun 06, 2015 01:14 AM #23

@brooksmd oh! Sloooowww!

Jun 06, 2015 01:16 AM #24

@globaljaybird I've used the same 2 stock vets who have small animal practices for over 25 yrs now & have never paid over $100 for yearly vaccinations. Once I took 10 pups for dew claw & tail docks & Steve only charged me 90 bucks-plus he stitched the tails so they healed nice & clean & grew hair back over the incisions. He livesves abt 1 1/2 miles from our plavce & has been a great friend for decades. That's the one Dr I don't want to loose when we move. I can call him any day of the week, any hour of the day. He came over to the house last July to give Woody his final shot. He was cryin when he left. Steve's a real special guy, I wish everyone had a friend like him.

Jun 06, 2015 01:17 AM #25

@Crimsonorblue22 Probably not near as tasty as shrimp, which is probably why they are boiled in a mixture of seasonings that if done in the kitchen would drive everyone out with runny eyes and a cough. Crab boil, shimp boil and crawfish boil.

Jun 06, 2015 01:19 AM #26

@brooksmd No clue

Jun 06, 2015 01:24 AM #27

@brooksmd I got monster mud bug mounds in the pasture even in hot summer, the water table is so high. But I feed em to the fish not da family. They like shrimp... Fantail size.

Jun 06, 2015 01:25 AM #28

@globaljaybird When we lived in SC, one of the guys I worked with his girlfriend (except of paper and ceremony his wife) was a fresh out of school vet. Amy was fantastic. All of us who worked with Tom got 25% discount and we basically helped her get started. But she was both farm and small animal. When we had to put our cocker down, she came to the house and did it while I held her. Good vets are a God-send.

Jun 06, 2015 01:28 AM #29

@brooksmd But do they have Flyin' Monkey ?

Jun 06, 2015 01:30 AM #30

@globaljaybird I'll check next time and let you know.

Jun 06, 2015 01:36 AM #31

@brooksmd The only thing that haven't been able to get me is Yuenling. Love their Black an Tan.

Jun 06, 2015 01:39 AM #32

Boy this game would be driving @wissoxfan83 bananas. Almost 2hrs and only in bottom of the 5th.

Jun 06, 2015 01:40 AM #33

@brooksmd Toured their brewery in Estes Park-right on the headwaters of the Big Thompson River...just gorgeous there. Started traveling out there in my early 20's & camping in pup tents, long before I was a married man. Those were wonderful times.

Jun 06, 2015 01:42 AM #34

@globaljaybird Flying Monkey?

Jun 06, 2015 01:47 AM #35

To quote @Crimsonorblue22 , crap.

Jun 06, 2015 01:50 AM #36

@brooksmd I can barely hang w/u guys! I'll take the shrimp.

Jun 06, 2015 01:51 AM #37

Daughter law coming, she's not a dog fan. Trying to get all the hair up. Hopefully she won't judge rio at 11 weeks!

Jun 06, 2015 01:53 AM #38

I guess I need to start drinking and live in the swamp to figure out the lingo.

Jun 06, 2015 01:53 AM #39

Hard for Salvy to get runners when they get a good jump. Seems like there are fewer pitch outs anymore.

Jun 06, 2015 01:54 AM #40

@Crimsonorblue22 Come on down little girl.

Jun 06, 2015 01:55 AM #41

@brooksmd I use to watch that show w/sons about shooting crocs in the swamp. Brooks do u do that?

Jun 06, 2015 01:56 AM #42

Royals suck right now!

Jun 06, 2015 01:56 AM #43

CRAP!!!

Jun 06, 2015 01:59 AM #44

@brooksmd all we can say!

Jun 06, 2015 02:07 AM #45

@Crimsonorblue22 No we don't want you to start drinking, cause then there would be less for me and @globaljaybird .

Jun 06, 2015 02:14 AM #46

@brooksmd Yeah was made at the Estes Park Brewery & sold to an outfit in Canada in the late 1990's. Really hard to find in the Midwest. Most brew pubs we went to when the kids lived in Chicago had it, but hell Chicago has everything...the name is better than the beer...

Jun 06, 2015 02:19 AM #47

@globaljaybird Website says it's sold in establishments, bottles and tap, all over KC area and available in Kansas.

Jun 06, 2015 02:20 AM #48

Guess if the bats are dead, bunts against deep infield is good.

Jun 06, 2015 02:24 AM #49

With 2 runners on Gordo has an opportunity to put a dent in the 4 run lead.

Jun 06, 2015 02:26 AM #50

But he hits into an inning ending dp instead.

Jun 06, 2015 02:32 AM #51

@brooksmd no bats at all! Stealing us blind!

Jun 06, 2015 02:41 AM #52

@brooksmd Never ask for as I said name is better than the beer, but I will have an Old Style every now & then...

Jun 06, 2015 02:48 AM #53

Well at least the Twins are losing. And Det not a factor for now.

Jun 06, 2015 02:54 AM #54

Complete game, 3 hit shutout of the Royals by Gonzalez on only 2nd major league start.

Jun 06, 2015 02:55 AM #55

Hope the Royals find wherever they left their bats.

Jun 06, 2015 02:56 AM #56

Nite all.

Jun 06, 2015 03:21 AM #57

Rio scratched the girl, the other was scared. Rio in kennel.

Jun 06, 2015 03:46 AM #58

@Crimsonorblue22 if they relate the kennel to punishment they can develop issues about going in. We had to be careful like that with Rascal at first. When he didn't cooperate, we had to be creative & make him think we were playing. If you are angry when you kennel them, they PU on it quick...

Jun 06, 2015 04:32 AM #59

@globaljaybird the kids were a hundred miles per hour and he was excited. He went in there til they went to bed, 20 minus.

Jun 06, 2015 06:43 AM #60

@Crimsonorblue22 Poor Rio, just wanted to play.

Jun 06, 2015 02:40 PM #61

The Royals have been looking pretty crappy recently. If we keep on back sliding, that great start was for nothing๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ‘Ž

Jun 08, 2015 03:27 AM #62

@brooksmd I just got home from a spectacular western trip and totally unplugged. I saw your comment. Yes, that would drive me nuts!

Jun 08, 2015 07:37 AM #63

Great win to save face against the Rangers. Get some momentum before we play the Cardinals again!

Jun 08, 2015 04:11 PM #64

@wissoxfan83 Wondered where you had disappeared to. Nothing like a vacation to unwind after 9 months of teaching.

Jun 10, 2015 09:48 PM #65

@brooksmd We then spend our summers up in Wisconsin away from instant internet, so we go to McD's or the library for internet, so I'm not around kubuckets that much, but, I'll be back!
