Jun 27, 2015 02:59 AM #33

@globaljaybird @Crimsonorblue22 How are Rascal and Rio doing?

Jun 27, 2015 03:04 AM #34

Since @crimsonorblue22 doesn't want to hear my play by play, I'll mention my travails the past 2 days. Yesterday while going over to my son's place to t/s his mower I chipped a tooth while flossing. Went straight to our dentist who saw me in less than an hour despite a full schedule and put a temp crown on it. I'm a wuss when I have a chipped tooth.

Jun 27, 2015 03:05 AM #35

@brooksmd He had a real good day. Mom stays home with him on Fridays-4 day week. So if he is in the kennel at all when were off, its only for short periods of time. I'm sure work days seem endless to him at 8- 9 hours. But we take him for lotsa truck rides & pup (ice cream) cups at Sonic. He sits straight up in the seat &nlooks out the window just like a furry person. He's got a good life. NO food stamps for this boy !!!

Jun 27, 2015 03:06 AM #36

@brooksmd a wuss?

Jun 27, 2015 03:07 AM #37

Made it to my son's place and determined mower had carb problem so pulled it off, took it back to my place, stripped it and soaked it in carb bath for about 20-30 minutes. Blew it off real good and put it back together and back to son's. Put it back on and first pull fired right up.

Jun 27, 2015 03:08 AM #38

@brooksmd 👍

Jun 27, 2015 03:14 AM #39

Unfortunately my generator suffered same problem and carb bath didn't help it so my ordered carb came in and installed it today. Still wouldn't start. So after pondering and scratching my head a few minutes I realized I hadn't set the choke. Then it fired right up. After that did laundry and vacuumed floors in the house. Ah the easy life of a retiree. Huh @globaljaybird ?

Jun 27, 2015 03:17 AM #40

@globaljaybird "no food stamps for this boy" tsk tsk, we'll have no more of this. :wink:

Jun 27, 2015 03:18 AM #41

@brooksmd Ethanol isPPoor fuel esp for 2cyle engines. Bet I booked in 12-15 grass trimmers, chain saws, hedge trimmers, yest & today, all Stihl (were a dealer) & even a Makita concrete saw this morning. Every damn one with fuel issues. Ive started using Stihl Motomix 50-1 in my 036 Pro & Mantis & Truefuel 40=1 even in my cheap old trimmer. High octane no ethanol-till the govt says we cant buy it anymore....OOOPS :open_mouth:

Jun 27, 2015 03:19 AM #42

In Baldwin, gonna change and get on rd. hopefully listen to game.

Jun 27, 2015 03:28 AM #43

@globaljaybird "till govt says we can't buy it anymore" Must I remind you that you're pushing the limits?

I only use non-ethanol in all my stuff and have impressed on my son the importance. Even told him where all the best stations are. Don't think it was the gas in his mower. Now my generator, it was the gas. Or should I say varnish? Should've drained tank and put fresh gas in it. Has a shutoff valve which I use and let it run itself out of gas. Everytime I fill gas can I always put Stabil in. Didn't realized how long the gas had set in the gen fuel tank.

Jun 27, 2015 03:28 AM #44

@Crimsonorblue22 Be careful and watch the round-abouts.

Jun 27, 2015 03:39 AM #45

@brooksmd I'd be bored if I didn't work part time. Is more abt interaction with people than anything. Plus I work at a huge full service hardware store & get to do man work which is interesting to me.

Jun 27, 2015 03:43 AM #46

Get ready for GORDO !!! SONIC SLAM TIME ...YEAAAAAH!!!

Jun 27, 2015 03:45 AM #47

Jun 27, 2015 03:53 AM #48

Gordon won someone about 2 grand with that dinger. Somebody's celebrating...

Jun 27, 2015 03:54 AM #49

@globaljaybird When hitters start taking yur pitcher to the woodshed like Gordo and Salvey did it's time for a new arm.

Jun 27, 2015 03:56 AM #50

@globaljaybird That's about what she'll get after taxes. Well the kids are up and roaming so that's the signal for a potty break. brb

Jun 27, 2015 04:18 AM #53

@globaljaybird Excellent outing for Volquez tonite. Would rather the pen not relax with that 4 run lead.

Jun 27, 2015 04:27 AM #54

@brooksmd Crims has a helluva drive home even from Baldwin, maybe another 150 mi or so. Made that haul many times as a pup, We Felt bad abt missing her at Sprint Tues but had to do potential damage control with my boy present. I went to votech in Newton & JC in Hutch..At present am abt 35 mi straight East of Baldwin now ... Long ass drive lone at night. Not a snowballs chance in hell I'd let my ole babe make that trip at night alone...

Jun 27, 2015 04:29 AM #55

@brooksmd 5-1 lead in the 8th is like money in the bank for these guys...

Jun 27, 2015 04:29 AM #56

@globaljaybird Thought you were up around Lawrence.

Jun 27, 2015 04:31 AM #57

@globaljaybird Wow, 99mph = Tabasco.

Jun 27, 2015 04:35 AM #58

@brooksmd South & East of Lawrence abt 30-35 mi. Baldwin is abt 15 mi straight South of Lawrence. Was a weigh station there when I was in my 20s. Got 3 tickets there one morning hauling an oversized load when I was abt 26-27 yrs old. Only beat one outta three but the boss paid all lawyer & ticket fees. That was in the mid 70's... See I ain't far behind ya.

Jun 27, 2015 04:45 AM #59

@brooksmd thanks Dad...

Jun 27, 2015 04:48 AM #60

Jun 27, 2015 05:00 AM #64

@brooksmd Whiffed Billy B for da win . Anticlimactic or what?! YEAAAH !!!

Jun 27, 2015 05:02 AM #65

@globaljaybird Butler at the plate at the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs made it kind of intriguing for me..

Jun 27, 2015 05:04 AM #66

@globaljaybird Stupid MLB app on TIVO suddenly failed while Billy was up and when I got it back it was shots of R fans and that was it. So we get the opener.

Jun 27, 2015 05:10 AM #67

Drained the CB old bud so time to check in. GN & catch ya on the rebound if I don'tget dunked. Hang in there for Crims if ya can. Will have the phone by the pillow for an update... Be safe on the range pard...I'll try to be more "sensitive" to our breatherin on the morrow...just don be a ball breaker, OK LOLOL

Jun 27, 2015 05:16 AM #68

@globaljaybird Not workin the range tomorrow. Only have to do 1 shift/mo and during the summer months it's just to frickin miserable out in the swamp. After 6 hrs I'm soaked through the shirt and shorts looked like I pee'd my pants all day. And the firing line is covered.

Jun 27, 2015 06:29 AM #69

@globaljaybird She made it safe and sound. GN
