Paulo is a huge reason we're 20+ game over .500 IMO & he's damned sure earned his stripes on MY roster-maybe Cuthbert hits the curve better? Again what do I know? Where da hell is Colon, learnin how to hit? It's just a gut/chemistry feeling on my part & nothing more. However, Pryor has said that Colon can field anything but Uncle Charlie does give him the fits...Anyhoo, let's tee it up...

Sox-Sox in rain delay. We're only 2.5 out of the wildcard after our 7 game win streak. Red Sox are looking really pitiful which is a welcome sight. Blue Jays, wow some major upgrades which is good for the division with Price gone from the division. Royals upgrades good too?

@wissoxfan83 Cueto in the starting rotation will be big. Zobrist is multi-role player who can handle infield and outfield plus a bat. Which means the best you can hope for your CWS is a WC. :smile:

@brooksmd There's a wood bat league called the Northwoods league. They have a team near our Wisconsin house called the Wausau Woodchucks. Ben Zobrist is probably their biggest pro success story.

I knew there was really little hope for the division, but wild card, it's there for the taking!

@wissoxfan83 You could say that but we hardly ever get more than 3 or 4 on the chat. I got lotsa chores...playin catch up...but look out over the weekend. Really it's just a way to for us to keep in touch, not much more...not much in basketball headlines for us to hash out. WUG were a real bonus this year, son & I went to one of the Canada games at Sprint & the game chats were fun with good participation especially for the odd hours the games were played. I'm usually off the blog for 2-3 months, but since the Royals have become relevant again summer is much different & interesting than past years. Old guys like brooks & I cut our teeth on baseball & it's fun to enjoy it again for a change. Jump on in whenever you like-we're easy to get along with. The more the merrier.

FWIW, I don't participate in the baseball chats much...or at ll, but often I have them on my second screen. You guys sure seem to have fun and enjoy the sport without the acrimony of other threads...I like that. I am sure you have seen this picture and the words were also used for other players but it is still fun... and very applicable...

We also get to face Price Sunday in Toronto & Hamels next time we face Houston...he threw a no-no just the other day. Contenders in both leagues are muscling up for their post season futures...we're certainly not the only one in the water...
