Jaybadgers' Shirt
Sep 26, 2015 05:22 PM #1

@wissoxfan83

This is for you (and others... and myself):

!IMG_5501.jpg β†—

I asked him where he got it and he said his wife found it on the internet. I haven't found it yet, but if anyone does, please post it!

Might be nice to make a slight change to this shirt... more of an alliance.... Badgers and Jayhawks!

Sep 26, 2015 05:24 PM #2

@drgnslayr so you are a badger fan over KU?

Sep 26, 2015 05:25 PM #3

@Crimsonorblue22

Ha... not hardly. But I have the Badgers in my #2 slot, behind KU!

I must have 50 Jayhawk shirts. Kind of nice to share the love now and then.

Sep 26, 2015 05:26 PM #4

@drgnslayr thought you were headed to the other side.😱

Sep 26, 2015 05:27 PM #5

@Crimsonorblue22

For me, the "other side" is either in Manhattan KS or Columbia MS... two hell holes.

Sep 26, 2015 05:28 PM #6

@drgnslayr I consider anywhere but KU!

Sep 26, 2015 05:29 PM #7

@drgnslayr I don't shareπŸ˜‰

Sep 26, 2015 05:31 PM #8

@Crimsonorblue22

Boo hoo... I'm too much of a sports junkie to ONLY watch Jayhawks... especially when it comes to football.

It might be a nice thread here to ask Jayhawk fans what OTHER teams they support and watch...

Anyone?

Sep 26, 2015 05:32 PM #9

@drgnslayr I watch, don't support!

Sep 26, 2015 05:34 PM #10

Maybe support other past KU players and coaches!

Sep 26, 2015 05:34 PM #11

@Crimsonorblue22

I don't toss money at other teams. But I totally cheer for teams like the Badgers (unless they play us).

Sep 26, 2015 06:35 PM #12

@drgnslayr I wear my KU swag around the University of Vermont hospital and college campus all the time. Ive run into Jayhawk fans out here, at least a few of them. Kinda cool to see how wide our fan base spreads.

But, to answer your question, I also watch and support UNC, SMU, Wake Forest, Maryland, for obvious reasons. But not when/if we play them. I dont have any of those schools' swag though. Only KU.

I wear my Jayhawks gear or Badgers gear here in Louisiana and people notice the Badgers because of football. I wore a Badgers shirt and hat to an LSU baseball game two days after they lost to Duke and got not one comment from anyone.

Here they'll sell some more tickets for basketball because of Simmons coming in, but it won't make much of a ripple. I'll sure go and enjoy the show however.

I have seen similar shirts on Facebook. I supposed they market it to me based on my likes.

As for other teams, I generally cheer for Big10 teams in football and basketball, but I do loathe Iowa and Minnesota and will not cheer for them.

@wissoxfan83 Simmons kid will be fun to watch! Just watched a few of his games and he's a very good and big pt!

Sep 26, 2015 11:03 PM #15

@drgnslayr I cheer for a lot of teams in football. Too many to name names. Even K-State, thanks to Bill Snyder. The one's I cannot, will not root for - Missouri, Nebraska, Colorado, any team in the state of Florida, Oregon, Boise St (field makes me sick) any Ivy League team - to name a few.

Sep 26, 2015 11:07 PM #16

@nuleafjhawk so when Snyder leaves, you are done?πŸ‘¬

Sep 26, 2015 11:57 PM #17

@nuleafjhawk agree on Boise st! From mizzou to the Ivy League, vast difference!

Sep 27, 2015 01:09 AM #18

@nuleafjhawk Were you rejected by Yale or Harvard or something? :)

Sep 27, 2015 01:22 AM #19

@wissoxfan83 good one!

I'm sure you meant Columbia, MO. Just my former postal employee side coming out.

Sep 27, 2015 05:06 PM #21

@Crimsonorblue22 If i understand correctly, Bill's son is next in line to the Purple Throne. I don't know anything about him, but if he's similar in character to his dad, yeah I'll probably root for them when we're not playing them. If they hire another Ron Prince, I could turn my back pretty quickly.

Sep 27, 2015 05:06 PM #22

@brooksmd

Oops... typo. Maybe there is a Columbia in Mississippi?

Sep 27, 2015 05:08 PM #23

@wissoxfan83 Lol - I couldn't decide which one I wanted to go to, so I snubbed THEM.

I don't know - Ivy League and football don't seem to go together. Maybe I would root for their polo teams, or chess. Do they have a Sudoku team???

Sep 27, 2015 05:17 PM #24

@nuleafjhawk did you see this yesterday? It's awful!

@Crimsonorblue22 That is pretty bad! Really bad, in fact. I hadn't seen that particular article, but a few that were similarly nasty. But, we bring it on ourselves. I remember BS (before Snyder) K-State was the brunt of those types of jokes. We are truly in line to be remembered as the best basketball school of all time and the worst football school of all time. We're not far off in achieving either of those.
