We have all heard that there will be amended rules for this coming season that will change the game. Most of us are only aware of the 35-second clock being reduced to 30-seconds... and also that there will be an effort to reduce contact, especially on the defense, to promote a more liquid game.
But is that it? Uh... noooooooo! I just returned from a Sunday afternoon scavenger hunt: the goal was to round up ALL the rule amendments and additions. Fortunately, I didn't have to put too much effort in to this, thanks to the NCAA's very own website.
Notice how many rule amendments deal with subject matter that has commercial ramifications.
So here they are... read through them carefully, and perhaps look at the NCAA and their rules in a similar light as our US Congress and when they pass laws. Attention is only given to a few elements, while the quiet parts make a huge impact, too.
