Bill Self’s back was turned.

In a normal setting — Allen Fieldhouse, for example — the Kansas coach wouldn’t have needed to turn backwards to discuss something with one of his assistant coaches.

This was no normal setting, though. This was Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, a dome-turned-basketball-arena with an elevated court that separated Self from his bench and, more importantly in this moment, his assistant coaches.

Not quite related to KU. But it is a story about Coach Williams by Jason King of Bleacher Report. I still love Coach Williams for his 15 great years of KU basketball. Hope he finds peace of mind in retirement soon.

Merry Christmas all! I assume we can write random unrelated comments on Christmas, right? If so, I'm in Ft. Myers w the in laws and just found out the Joe Dooley lead FGCU "dunk city" Eagles are playin Northern Kentucky on Monday. Wondering if I should wear KU shirt?
