I don't know if you all keep up with these sorts of things but Conner Frankamp crashed and burned in his first game with the Shockers. Milton Doyle is having a solid season along with Andrew White. Both white and Doyle are averaging double digits in scoring BUT Frankamp was horrid last night!

Dec 10, 2015 07:56 PM #2

@Statmachine Last night was Frankamp's first game for WSU. Not really a surprise that he was bad considering he hadn't played in a game in 21 months. His game is a good fit for the Missouri Valley, but he'll need a few games to knock the rust off and get into game shape after not playing in almost 2 years.

Diallo, Bragg in Ford's Mock DRAFT!!! Please oh Please Don't take Bragg!!!

Dec 10, 2015 10:11 PM #6

@Statmachine It's preposterous that either are mentioned based on seeing what we have out of them so far. I totally understand the current situation, but what of Bragg, or even Cheick makes you think NBA ready?

Dec 10, 2015 10:41 PM #7

@Statmachine

I saw that game. He looked rough... I don't think he hit a single shot from the field... something like 0-5 or so. And he got burned on defense, too. Think he had first-game jitters.

However... down the stretch the game was tight and he was about the only Shocker who could hit a free throw. He hit two that was part of cementing their victory.

I wish Conner the best.

@Statmachine

"Please oh Please Don’t take Bragg!!!"

The new slogan for the NBA - "If he is old enough to shave, we want him now!"

@drgnslayr

Good post. I hope he does well too. He wasn't ever going to make the cut at KU and was never going to be more than a role player....so I don't blame him for moving on.

Marshall isn't doing him any favors with comments like - if what the tv broadcasters for the UNLV game was true- he's the best shooter I've coached in my 31 years.

Broadcasters were really hyping him.........CF has a lot of expectations on his shoulders. I hope he can deal with them.

@SoftballDad2011 standing O when he went in. I don't know how WSU will be after this year. Cf will be the go to guy. He got a lucky break on that foul, Higgins the ref. whatever happens he's all over the news here.

@Crimsonorblue22

I heard the ovation. He is lucky van vleet and baker are there to carry the load.

WSU fans are fickle. Hopefully they give him a chance to settle in.

Expectations can be a heavy burden for a hometown boy who comes home and its annoited the chosen one........before he's even made a bucket.

Dec 11, 2015 04:18 AM #13

@Crimsonorblue22 I

Absolutely horrible.

And then to make it even worse the ISU contingent down plays it as being part of the emotion of college athletics.

Hard to fault the fans when their leadership is too clueless to know right from wrong.

@SoftballDad2011 get fined in league! Reporters wife is battling cancer too. Tough!

Reminds me of another AD! Hmmm

Dec 11, 2015 04:42 AM #16

Sorry @Crimsonorblue22 Accidentally was editing your post......

Meant to say

Yes, very sad.

Coach Prohm does not appear to be media relations guy…his comments seem a little insensitive giving the injury to a reporter …

Unless the newspaper is sensationalizing the event.

@jaybate-1.0

I'm amused. My mind is a gate, not a fence. I enjoy both sides on Conner.
