The Kansas football team will hit the road Saturday for a contest against the Baylor Bears, game will be on FS1 at 1:30 Jayhawk time. Baylor is the B12s only shot at the playoff this year as they are off to an undefeated start but it is a long shot after playing a host of NAIA level schools in the non Conference. Briles is out but its much of the same in Waco, they can score a lot and do so very fast. With the likes of former KU signee Seth Russell at QB and Shock Linwood at RB with a list of solid WRs. Kansas gave us hope last week of maybe being able to steal another win or two before this season ends. That being said I highly doubt we compete in this one,with our road struggles and playing against maybe the best team in this league after losing a game we should have won. I look for Baylor to get started fast and score a lot in this one. I think our defense does get a few TOs and makes some plays but the offense continues to struggle holding on to the ball or finish drives I'm going Baylor 56 Kansas 16. They spanked us in Lawrence LY 66-7 so hopefully we can play a little better than that but only one game between us has been close since the mangino days which was a 2011 double OT game in which we lost. @nuleafjhawk lol i think you go to extreme measures with your predictions i guess maybe it makes a guy feel better when we dont get murded by 60 or 70 points.

@kjayhawks Honestly, 75-10 isn't that much different that 56-16. Three more TD's and a field goal. And it does make me feel better to get beat like that. I still haven't recovered from last week where you think "man, one play goes a little differently and we would have won".
And that one play could have been one of about 30 plays. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be a debbie downer. That's why i just put the score with no comment. I really believe that will be the score. I think i did about the same thing last week - i want to say i called 65-10 or something like that. And we almost won! If we're close tomorrow, i'll predict 300-0 next week!!! Lol

@nuleafjhawk Agreed man last week has just hung with me all week its so frustrating. I'm game for you 300-0 as long as it works my friend. Nothing wrong with what I call being realistic, a lot of people got pissed when I said WSU would kick our asses I would've been happy to be wrong but I'm a realist, the truth isn't always what we want to hear.

@nuleafjhawk I don't think you are giving our defense enough credit. I hope you were pleasantly surprised by the defense last week.

Because the game's at Baylor, they will score more points than TCU. But, our defense is playing their hearts out. Overachieving, really. I just hope the offense holds the ball some, so the defense isn't on the field all day. RCJH

@stoptheflop I was literally blown away by the defense last week. Actually, the week before too, for over 3 quarters. There's no doubt we're getting better, but we just don't have enough horses to hang with the big dogs (that's a lot of animals, huh) for the whole 4 quarters. We need more depth. Didn't we lose one of our top defensive linemen this week? I haven't followed as closely as I'd like, a lot of personal stuff going on.
Hey - we've seen teams like Baylor and TCU go from the bottom of the pit to the top of the heap - it can be done. Can we do it? I don't know. But i sure won't be surprised if we get beat by 60 today.

Anyone think we can compete w/Ksu? Is there qb done for good? Caught some of it.

Just need to relax and get some first downs together Willis has looked okay outside of one throw and we cant run so air it out try to get some points.

The KSU game is the game I dread the most. There isn't much of a talent gap and never has been, but the scoreboard will be lit up like a Christmas tree by KSU. It's all coaching and that's what makes me sick.

I guess our kicker isn't the only joke Baylor misses a chip shot and NC state's kicker missed one as time expired which would've beat Clemson.

Defense playing on short field have done solid, 14 points let up so far if we just had any type of offense we could be in this game. I hate it for our D man they play well most the time and very hard. They are the only reason it aint 40 to zip and a strong tackle bye Willis lmao

@kjayhawks Lol - I was at a casino in Newkirk, Ok this afternoon when I looked up and saw the 42-0 score. I immediately thought of you and @stoptheflop and had a good laugh. Not at the score, at our predictions! I'm glad the second half was better, but I think we can thank Baylor's coach for much of that. Anway, we'll hope for better from here on out.
