How committed to Smart is Tayhoss?
How many years does he get from UT without a conference title? Without knocking Self off his pedestal?
Will Nike long stack him, or are those days behind us?

@jaybate-1.0 I think texas will win a battle or two against us before to long but still believe they are a few years from being the team to beat. I think they will be good this year but so will we maybe next year is their best shot to end our run.
They have extended his contract a few more years just based on last year. He had his guys go through the Navy boot camp, copying what we did. I don't think he gets any more fans to the games than he did last year, With Charlie Strong on the short end of his time at UT I think Smart is the fall to guy. What were they picked in the Big 12 coaches poll? 3rd. Other coaches aren't on his band wagon it seems.
@RockChalkinTexas Well, I cant believe Im doing this, but if the other coaches are picking Texas to be 3rd, I have to give Shaka some props. I think the obvious pick to win the conference is KU, duh, and the other two picks imo are WVU and Texas with OU tying for 3rd. Shaka must have some good players this year to get that high on the list. It'll be fun kicking their asses two or three times this year.
Shaka Smart is no Brad Stevens. But then, Im not much impressed with Brad Stevens either.
I'd like to see Shaka take on Gregg Marshall & WSU. Then we can refer to him as Shocka.
