UK?

I am not sure if you guys have seen this but UK could have another juggernaut this year. I know it was an exhibition game BUT they hung 156 points in a win over Asbury yesterday. The score reflects that UK was playing the YMCA 6th grade girls team.

@Statmachine

116 point in the paint, 19 blocked shots and only 6-19 from the 3. No question that they had a huge height advantage and used to the hilt. The tallest player for Asbury is a 6'-7" freshman, they also have another 6'-7" sophomore and a 6'-6" freshman and the rest are a lot shorter than that...why even schedule a team, like (Asbury enrollment is 1,800 total) that and the run up the score on them? Very unsportsmanlike in my opinion.

Probably trying to eclipse the 150-95 pasting KU put on them in 1989.

@Statmachine UK's guards had 4 blocks. Willis had 3 blocks. I mean it was a joke. They played a high school team.

To add to that, they can't hit a 3. They shot 32% from 3 at home with basically nobody guarding them. I'll go ahead and take MSU by 4 in the Garden next week. Game will probably be something like 55-51 and be SUPER boring.

I'm going to be very interested to see us play them this year. A 3 posts lineup vs the 4 guard lineup. They don't even have Murray to stretch the floor this season. Even when they went 36-1 they had a guard that could hit a 3. They will be a 6-7 loss team. Maybe more.

@Kcmatt7

Don't underestimate UK. Yes, they played a heavily under matched team but they still have more potential talent than just about anyone.

@JayHawkFanToo I think of this team more like the 2013-2014 UK team with Julius Randal. six 5-star recruits (5 in the top 10). They were able to put it together for a nice tourney run, but that season was by far a disappointment for them. 24-11 regular season. I just think it is pretty hard to win with nothing but freshmen talent. And none of them seeming like they are going to be Anthony Davis special.

@Kcmatt7

I will take Kentucky and the 4 points against Michigan State. MSU wins by double digits.

2012 this is not. And thank goodness for that.
