(Complete useless baiting headline to flush out the missing-in-action HEM )

Maybe a headline- "NEVER EVER QUESTION BILL SELF " might have been better actually ....

Any other topic headline ideas that HEM just simply couldn't resist answering ?? :smile:

When I first read the title, so many thoughts were charging through my brain. Ha.

@Bosthawk

Brady played incredible defense and was just better than Xavier and Shelby.

Glue is crucial to winning basketball.

Traylor's intangibles made up for his empirical shortfalls.

Every team needs lots of OADs.

Players ranked 20-50 can't be the cornerstones of winning teams.

Sherron was a great defender and adisciplined dieter.

Self has never made a mistake.

BenMac was not a good shot.

The hi-lo is the only way to play offense, regardless of personnel.

THE THREE IS FOOL'S GOLD is irrefutable!!!!

👌

Actually, KU's win over Duke could be used by Self to further his logic about fools-gold-3s. KU stunk from 3. Yet how was it that we had a 8-10pt lead through most of the 2nd half? All those 'other' little Self mantras, seemingly inconsequential...but of great additive significance collectively--> simply were THE storyline of how KU beat Duke. They even overcame KU's poor FT%.

Probably ought to thank Sherron, Tyshawn, Frank, and John Calipari...for showing Self dribble-drive, and what it can do for a team, as even when set plays break down, or in crunchtime situations. Personally, I thought the refs were simply trying to use this early nationally-televised game between marquee teams, as a sort of guinea pigs display on the new rule emphasis...

As Bilas pointed out, JJackson had 2 of his fouls purely due to his own silliness. He'll learn.
