This team is bound to develop a 7-foot, 265 lb chip on their shoulders moving forward.
The last time we carried a sizeable chip was with TRob and his losses. We didn't have a single McDs AA on that team and made it to the Finals.

I'm curious what others in here think about "the chip" as our season progresses?
Definitely a chance to have a chip similar to that year. Coach said they would rally around it and I think they will still be positive. Expectations and goals have not changed, so they can't shy away from this. Even though I and others believed he was the X factor for a title run, other teams have had depth issues also yet still found their way to the final four. .
Doke can actually make more of a positive impact now, pushing his teammates, than if he was in uniform playing.
It sure worked that way for Kevin Ware and Louisville back a few years ago. I seriously doubt they would have won the NC without raising to a higher level after Ware had his leg go out.

Who is to say we would have won that NC without Archie's hardship?
Perhaps I would call it "incentive" or" motivation" rather than chip on the shoulder since the later would imply that KU is not getting respect, it certainly is getting respects as the polls show. Just my opinion.
@drgnslayr unfortunately, some people don't believe in the reality you just described with great examples. Playing for a teammate and rallying around that most certainly has occurred and will occur in the future.
