Wow, we only shot 5 free throws in first game? That should well go up, but offensively we were very efficient first go around, so I'll just take that as padding why the 78 feels safe.

9 of 27 seems about right for perimeter. Means they were 19 of 36 inside. I think we got some run against big teams the last couple games and figured some stuff out, Let's make that 16 of 35 inside, with a couple extra TOs and denied entry passes. 7 of 10 on free throws seems right.

So I'll go: KU 78-66 ISU

Bowies suspended for today's game

I've been surprised this year how well opponents are shooting at AFH. I still can't understand how or why Motley disappeared in the second half after playing like an NBA all star in the first half. The man was unstoppable.

I'm hoping for a great game by Lucas today. He's looked fit and motivated the last two games, except for his reluctance to shoot in the first half against Baylor. Jackson is shooting too many 3's, but I guess he has the green light if that's what the defense is giving him. Mason should get back to his 50% form on 3's.

Our defense on Matt Thomas will be crucial, since he's been hitting 3's. I assume Svi and Vick will guard Thomas. Unless I State gets super hot from 3, we should cruise today. Our 3 point defense better be good.

Some of it was good adjustments by our defense to bring the double team as quickly as possible.

But more than likely we saw Scott Drew again show why he can't beat Bill Self at X's and O's. You have to blame Baylor's guards for not getting him the ball either.

Iowa St is terrible but they have always played well in Allen. I expect the 1st half to be close and KU to wear them down late

@stoptheflop Motley could not get touches as he did 1st half & when he did the zone smothered him. THe other guys still hit some 3's but the zone negated Motley just enough for the win. Pretty 🐺 foxy call by Self if ya ask me...

I expect this one to be really tight. ISU needs a signature win to get into the tourney. If they lose today they go to 13-9 which is pretty awful. I like KU in a close 80-75 victory.

The zone harassed Motley, but this was compounded by the Baylor point guard picking up 4 fouls early in the second half.

@stoptheflop I read a piece and they were talking about the last game, it may have been off their board not sure, BUT they was talking and said SVI guarded Thomas last game and made it difficult for him to even get a shot off, so I agree there for sure. - - After the Baylor game Coach and our guy ( The reporter ) on the radio, can't remember his name, use to play for us - -anyways they talked about Josh and the three - -Coach said I think over his last three games know he had shot it like maybe 11-18 over 50% so I dunno, could be they are trying to get him to work on that, If he starts or keeps even hitting those like he has been recently - - Then look out. - -Definetely would be huge for him - -and for sure us, make him even so much more dangerous. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

If we don't win it would be a disaster, this is probably the easiest game in this 8 game stretch.

Blowout today! Self is going to hypnotize the players into reading "KC STAR" on the Cyclones jerseys instead of "IOWA STATE", and they will crush them like roaches.

@BShark I think its an easier 10-12 pt win. Our seniors want to play well-not many more home games left for them. Or JJ either for that matter. The countdown is on.
