Louisiana connection to KU. I like it!

Devonta Jason is rated as the 3rd best player in Louisiana, 6th best WR nationally, and the 35th best player overall nationally by Rivals.

Corione Harris is rated as the 4th best player in Louisiana, 8th best CB nationally, and the 60th best player overall nationally by Rivals.

These two are a big deal for KU because these might be the two highest rated prospects KU has ever landed in the era of rating recruits.

KU actually landed 4 players today. The one that hasn't been mentioned yet is RB Anthony Williams also from Louisiana. He's a 3 star back who's rated as the 30th best player in Louisiana and had offers from Mississippi St., TCU, and UCLA.

I don't know how much money Tony Hull is making, but KU should probably double his salary because he is doing work.

Other names to keep an eye on out of Louisiana are 4 star WR Ja'Marr Chase from Metarie, 3 star Safety Aaron Brule who is a teammate of Ja'Marr Chase at Rummel HS in Metarie in the New Orleans suburbs. 3 star LB Tajh Brown from Donaldsonville, 3 star WR Lawrence Keys from New Orleans, 3 star Safety Joseph Fousha from New Orleans and teammate of Lawrence Keys, and 3 star OT Cameron White from Gonzales,

I'm surprised Isaiah Windmon and Jammal Houston don't have offers from KU considering they're from John Ehret HS in Marrero which is the same school that 2017 signee Travis Jordan is from. Another name I'm surprised that doesn't have an offer is CB Damien Tate who is from Warren Easton HS which is where Hull was the coach at before KU, especially since his teammate, WR Yo'heinz Taylor does have an offer from KU.

Hull is putting in the time and effort in Louisiana and I really wouldn't be surprised to see more of these names end up on KU's commitment list as the year goes on.

Okay I heard about all these football recruits and I had to hop back on. HOLY CRAPBALLS! If and I stress if we hold on to these recruits that would be tremendous. LSU fans are having a mental breakdown.

@BShark I live in Baton Rouge and LSU fans have been having mental breakdowns for as long as I can remember, just ask @brooksmd. They don't fret losing 3 star recruits to KU. They fret about losing 5 stars to Alabama which has been happening a lot recently.

There are some 4 stars in this mix. I was on their boards, they are MAD.

Also I believe we have a 4 or 5 star LSU commit visiting this weekend this could get really fun/crazy.

@wissox There are no 5 stars from Louisiana this year. I'm guessing LSU fans will probably flip their s--- more than usual for losing the 3rd and 4th best players in state to a bottom feeding Big 12 program.

Doesn't KU have some high ranked transfers from Alabama that will be eligible?

Jason might end up being a 5 star. Probably not if he sticks with KU though lol.

@BShark Doubtful, at least on Rivals. They only have 15 5 star kids for 2018 and their rankings for football don't tend to fluctuate as much as basketball rankings do. Rivals typically has less than 20 5 star football players most years so that's why I doubt Jason becomes a Rivals 5 star.

Rivals has Ja'Marr Chase as committed and 247 also has Aaron Brule as committed to KU.

Great weekend for KU with 5 or 6 commitments depending on which service you look at.

Somebody get Tony Hull a significant pay raise because he is tearing it up on the recruiting trail for KU.

@kraken He's from the Dallas area, he's probably going to be a 3 star when his rating comes out. He attended a UT camp and was drawing interest from Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and Iowa.

This is just awesome news. Now the one thing we have to sit back and see is - - -how strong of a bond have these players really formed with Coach Hull. - -The big thing will be is how true will they stay to their verbal commitments? Man I hope they hold true, this is just an incredible . - -You know ALL the other schools are going to stay after these kids until we actually get their names on the dotted line.- - I knew we had a huge group coming in.

Man do you realize what these kids could do for our program? - Plus if we could get the kid from Blue Valley North right here in our state. Just like we all said - -we for sure have the right Coaches in our program, Give Coach Beaty just a little time, - -now he has a group of really good Coaches in place - -New OC, - - Clint working with the defense and he has them on the up tick for sure, and MAN Coach Hull and his connection, we better hang on to this guy for sure do whatever lol.

checked some more on these recruits from Louisiana we received verbals from last night. - -Watched highlight tapes on - - Jason - - Harris - - Chase - -& Burle - -got to say look pretty sweet. - -picked it up off LSU board. , seen some comments, said it's good for the KU program to get these commits - -BUT LSU fans say they see lots of de-commits coming Kansas way,- -true that's always a chance you take but These kids also talk about their bond with Coach Hull, they talk about how he is a father figure to them. -- -I read that Jason & Harris were both former LSU commits from Last July but had backed off and de-committed - - dam I hope we keep these guys. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Here's a big factor with Jason and Harris. They were HS teammates of Mike Lee and his success last year along with Hull played huge roles in them committing to KU.

Gives me some hope for them staying too. Gotta keep Hull though...

It should also be noted with QB Clayton Tune that he tore his ACL at the end of last season so his status for his senior year is up in the air right now. He said he's recovering faster than expected so Tune could play some this year, but he just had surgery 8 weeks ago so best case scenario is 6-8 months which would have him ready for the start of the season or at least very early on with no setbacks. This will be something to keep an eye on this fall.

Plus here is something KU fans haven't heard for say since the stone age lol- -or at least, and I say this with tongue in cheek cause I mean come on we just finished to 2017 - -BUT still like the way it sounds. - -That is 247 sports has KU ranked # 9 in the nation with the recruits -- & we have the BEST CLASS in the Big 12 - -hey I know, but man stills SOUNDS good anyways to here, no matter for how long - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
