Marcus Garrett
Mar 09, 2017 06:19 PM #1

16.3/10.2/9.2 per game averages. The point average is probably more concerning than it looks, given that he plays in a structured offense under a former P5 coach that actually passes the ball around to get good shots.

Also he is reportedly 6'7'' now.

@BShark I have forgotten or lost track of the details regarding Marcus. Where is he playing?

Next year KU

@BShark

Can't wait to see him in a Hawk uniform. He's looking more and more to be our answer at the 3 spot.

@drgnslayr

He's had a great year. Such a steal to lock him up early.

@BShark Stat padding is a favorite tool of high school statisticians!

@wissox

:+1: It's very easy to accumulate stats. It's much more important how they occur.

FT's may end up being a big concern with Garrett. Last night, Skyline lost in triple OT to Cy-Falls 46-43 in the Texas 6A semifinals. Garrett was at the FT with 7 seconds left and Skyline down 2 in triple OT and missed both FT's before a Cy-Falls hit 1 of 2 FT's to ice it.

@Texas-Hawk-10

He isn't a pure shooter, but this KU staff is actually kind of great at fixing jump shots.

Mar 12, 2017 01:57 AM #10

@BShark Jump shooting has nothing to do with FT shooting.

Mar 12, 2017 02:12 AM #11

@Texas-Hawk-10 what's his FT% for the season?

Mar 12, 2017 02:38 AM #12

@Texas-Hawk-10

I added the word jump for no reason apparently. Imo this staff is pretty good at working on players shots. Though fts are a bit mental as well.

HS stats are sometimes difficult to find. I found his season average from an article but I could not find actual box scores for his games.
