The same team that U Conn beat by 60 last year, crowd going beserk , and why not David just slew Goliath. an 111 game winning streak, hadn't been beaten in 4 years. This is something that that girl will never forget, will be able to tell one of those stories how he team beat the Jewel of Women's College basketball , All I can say/do is give all the props for achieving to what seem the un-achievable . - -What a seen, classy interview by the U Conn coach, but would you expect anything else ?- - - Congradulations ladies. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer54 I believe the phrase is "Down goes Frazier...Down goes Frazier" quote was from the late Howard Cosell at the George Foreman - Joe Frazier fight. Frazier was undefeated champion and had just beaten Ali.

Haha, that's what I hear in my head as I slowly fall down with my feet tangled up in corn stubble. Every time. I swear I'm not that vain, but I do crack myself up.

And now, at best, the second best womens team will win the tournament. No way any team is better than Uconn over the season, just in this one crapshoot of a tournament. I believe that's their seniors second loss in four years. Pretty studly.

@jayballer54 Not sure about UConn would win 6 of 7. Even the coach of UConn said they should not have been undefeated, that many weaknesses had been disguised by their record, and that this team was not as strong as in years past. The game announcers pointed out that UConn was vulnerable to a team with height in the center, and Miss St had a 6 ft 7 inch one. UConn sure had some dumb plays when the pressure came on, and that is always the question mark of a team that has blown people out all year.

So I might give UConn a series edge, but I think it would be close.

Looking forward to the final for the SC ladies tomorrow night, and to tonight to see if Frank Martin gets the SC guys over Gonzaga.
