Hi guys! The nodebb guys still have a couple things to look at but the board is back up and available for use. So far, looks great!
If you guys see any issues, or want to call out cool features, lets do it here!
I'll start with one (i mentioned it in another thread but will remention here).
When you hit quote on a post, it now embeds a link to the post you're quoting. Also, did you know that if you highlight the section of the post you want to quote, it will put that quoted section in your post? It always did that. Between these two features, quoting is pretty great.
I'm having issues upvoting posts. I will sometimes get "error invalid data".
I keep getting these push notifications every time I go to a new thread. I have followed the directions to disable them, closed Firefox completely and restarted it with no luck.

OK. I pasted an image and it displayed correctly on the right display panel but when I submitted the post the image did not display. Also, I don't see an "Edit" option which was handy when posting from pads and cells since the auto correct sometimes does crazy changes.

I had that problem with the old version. I just ended up allowing them. I woudl have thought this woudl be fixed. Can you clear cache on the browser and see if it persists? And... if all else fails, can you allow them? :-/

When I first submitted it it was not there but now, after I finally gave up and allowed the push notifications, it shows up...go figure.
I had to sign back in after the upgrade anyway.

Looks like you can only hit edit or delete on your own. Probably better that way to avoid accidents, but I used to go into others' sometimes to see how they got certain things to display in a post, like large fonts, etc.

@approxinfinity avatars for some people are not displayed. Tried different browsers. Some of the missing are: jaybate, JayHawkFanToo, REHawk, nuleafjhawk.
What is "Zen" mode and I still can't find the EDIT?
Since I can't find edit to add more, I'll write here. What is the difference between "Upload image" and "Picture?"
Switching browsers helped me.

The emoji in my post above did not display when I submitted even when it showed on the right test panel. I reloaded the page and it showed. I believe this is the same thing that happened with the image above, it does not immediately display but does it when you refresh the page, either by clicking on the reload icon or going out and back into the thread.

Okay, I clicked under the gear and found edit. !0_1491942731905_Capture.PNG β but I can't get a picture to load.
The picture loaded but, which one did it, the upload image button or Picture?

As far as the avatar, i recall we had probs with this before. They may have moved where the avatars are saved. Could I humbly request you guys upload new avatars?
@approxinfinity Upload to where? It asks me for a url. Are we supposed to put them on the net first so we can then provide a url?

Guys... You can still upload a picture. It's a little unintuitive when you don't have an image already; mouse over the grey bar at the top of your user url (ex./user/approxinfinity)
and you'll see the upload icon appear. It's the one on the left here, with the arrow on it:

So yes, it looks like you need a url in settings. One thing you could do is upload the file here, then grab the url and paste it there. For instance. !0_1491950775756_devonte.jpg β
I dragged a pic of Devonte in, then it gave me this url in a link
Now the NodeBB guys added an SSL cert for us, which is good, it makes our data more secure. However, it appears there's a prob with the cert handling of images, so in this case, the image i dragged in doesnt show unless I change that link to http
Wait! I got it! k. I changed settings allowing for uploading of images. The option to upload an image showed up in profile!

@brooksmd I figured out why the images had a prob btw. If you right click on one of those missing images ,you'll see that the old, old version of the board (like a version even prior to the latest we were on before the upgrade) saved the avatar images locally.. and saved a link to them, which was http://. β Well, now that we have the SSL cert (again, this means that your data is encrypted, so thats a good thing), that http url won't fly. If you change it to https it works.

I see it. It's the same as images not showing in composing.
@approxinfinity The emojis never showed up in composing mode before when selected from the menu (just the command/name in brackets), but when obtained from my keyboard now, they do show up while composing.
More limited selection though. π Well, maybe not!

Are you on an Apple device? It was an upside down smiley that appears on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (one of the unexploding Samsungs!) keyboard.
@approxinfinity Huh! Well, shoot..... What op system are you on? I am Android 6.1 but I don't know if they released it for the S4.

I use Firefox and it is having a hard time updating. If I go to an unread thread and go to the last previous post it goes there; however, if I hit the reload button, new posts are displayed that were not displayed before.
@JayHawkFanToo hmm. Can you try another browser and see if all these problems are only Firefox specific?
BTW, I grabbed your old image and reuploaded it for you. I'm gonna do a couple more of the old timers, get it out of the way that way.
I am getting the same thing on my iPad using Safari.

@JayHawkFanToo looks like the notification plugins were out of date .I upgraded them. I could also disable them. If they continue to misbehave, can you let me know and I may just kill them?

Looks great so far. I'll post if I have a problem. Reading this on my tablet while visiting my granddaughter (14 months) is wonderful. Thanks for all your hard work.
How do I change the type face/font that is now appearing since the upgrade?
I did not need to change the appearance before, but this is an unattractive look. Thanks.
@approxinfinity I am having a hard time getting my avatar picture changed on an iPad or iPhone. (I havntβ tried from my Mac as the picture I want is on the iPad) Also I canβt delete my posts any longer from an ipad/iPhone, just edit. Something weird is going on.
@approxinfinity It just stalls out when I push the change picture button.
