Some stuff shows up, the pre-loaded emoticons don't seem to work. It's an improvement.

The text box keeps jumping out of view when I try to type. Not good as I like to see all my typos before I hit enter anyway...

@dylans hey thanks for trying to diagnose the emojis with me. I sent an email to the nodebb guys. I think it may be ssl related.

Once we get the emojis back l think we will be in an alright place. I intend to submit all non KU buckets specific issues with the platform on the nodebb github repo and we can probably slow play them until an update that fixes them. If all else fails and a critical issue won't get fixed I will hop in the code.

Be careful about going out in the code widout a jacket. I have a code and my nose is really sore.

@Crimsonorblue22 Hit the directional keys on your keyboard. Push the right arrow then the left arrrow. For some reason that takes me up to where I'm typing instead of typing blind.

@dylans what platform or browser are you guys typing blind? Is it a reproducible thing? Can you tell me the steps and what field this is?

@approxinfinity On safari every time I hit reply the imput box jumps off the top of the screen. If I type a letter or two and hit the directional key it jumps back up to where you are typing. Otherwise you can't see anything and if you scroll whatever you typed never appears. Very inconvient, but I've figured out a way to make it work.

@dylans that sounds like a legit bug. I wonder if they are already aware. If it's not already in there I'll report it in their github repo.

@approxinfinity I used to have something similar happen with chats before the upgrade, but now they work properly. Yea!!

Hopefully there is an easy fix for this!

The text box pulls up like normal, but when you click on it this is what happens. If you don't have an external keyboard you can't jump back to the top. (At least I haven't figured out how yet) If you scroll back to the top when you stop scrolling it jumps back out of sight.

@approxinfinity hopefully you can fix this easily/quickly I think we're missing out on posts due to this issue. @Crimsonorblue is having a very difficult time posting and we need her!

No it's not fixed.

@crimsonorblue22 can you scroll up to the top after you begin typing? Sometime hitting refresh helps, but it's pretty consistently messed up.

@Crimsonorblue22 the only quick fix I see is for you to pick up a keyboard for your ipad ($30-150 at walmart) I recommend the Zaggs keyfolio rugged, the hinge breaks on the regular model in about a year if you use it extensively. Otherwise it sounds like patience is your friend.

If I figure out a trick in the meantime I'll let you know.

@mayjay @Crimsonorblue22 ok, after playing around with permissions a bit, i figured it out. everyone has purge rights now. the rights were on a category by category basis, so when I gave purge rights to everyone before and asked you to test, @Crimsonorblue22 , it was only on KU Basketball category, but we were trying to purge a post here in Q&A whoops :)

When I am on Safari on the iPad, if I turn to portrait mode the typing window display correctly minus the right display panel. if I run the iPad to landscape, the right panel display but quickly scrolls out of the screen and it is impossible to see what you are typing, changing the iPad back to portrait returns the single typing screen panel to focus. A real PIA to post from an iPad, seems to work a lot better.

I still have the refresh issue on all browsers where you select a thread from the unread list and click to go to the last position, takes you to the "last" post and I cannot scroll down any further; however, if I click the "reload current page" browser icon, then a bunch of new posts show at the current position. I will review my browser settings to refresh every time the page is accessed and hopefully it will fix this issue.

So one last comment about our other issues. @psychobunny at nodebb has told me that they've moved away from the lavender theme we use for hte board a while back, so that could likely be the cause of the issues you are seeing on ipad @dylans @Crimsonorblue22 @JayHawkFanToo . I think we should evaluate the other themes and see if any of them are as comfortable as the lavender theme.

@Crimsonorblue22 Really don't like that other theme, at least not at first blush. If it didn't fix your problem it's a moot point. I might be able to tweak the css to fix the problem. For now, can you download another browser? Clear some room on the ipad and get chrome or firefox to buy us some time on this?
