After 25 years, my wife and I are returning to the Chicago area to finish my career. Still finalizing some where and when type things so it's up to @brooksmd to keep the Jayhawk chant going in Louisiana.

@wissox Rock Chalk my friend. Geaux Jayhawks. Don't forget to sell the mower so you can get a snowblower. And don't let the "hawk" bite ya tootsies.

@brooksmd You remain the only bucketeer that I have met face to face! I'm forever grateful to you because I'm not sure I would have even considered buying tickets for that game if you hadn't asked me if I wanted you to get some.

@wissox Too bad we couldn't have celebrated big time that nite.

@kjayhawks Thanks! Pay is low true, but there's other rewards!

Aug 07, 2017 03:30 AM #11

@wissox better environment to teach?

Aug 07, 2017 05:22 AM #12

@Crimsonorblue22 In Chicago? Should get hazardous duty pay.

Aug 07, 2017 05:42 AM #13

@brooksmd he had a pretty rough school in NO, too.

Aug 07, 2017 06:12 AM #14

@Crimsonorblue22 Both NO and BR. Before Katrina my youngest played football and basketball against the school he taught at in NO, called Desire St Academy. Probably one of the worst if not the worst area in the city.

@Crimsonorblue22 @brooksmd Should be a little better caliber school than where I've been. It's in the suburbs, but rough suburb...kind of. Got 14 hours of solo driving to do today, so got to go!

@wissox I know yur probably well into yur journey by now, but never to late to wish you safe travels.

@wissox

Best of luck in the next stage of your career. My daughter teaches special education to disadvantaged kids in KC MO so I am aware how tough it is, both financially and professionally, but also how rewarding it can be. I hope your new position turns out be a great one.
