Apparently the staff is still recruiting Matt Hurt.

Hard to see KU getting JRE, Chandler AND Hurt.

Poster on the Phog did her ladies night recap.

Some cool stuff about previous recruits and such.

Highlights: Charlie Moore called Self after he decided to transfer and said he'd like to come to KU. Self didn't even finish his pitch with the Lawsons when he visited in Memphis before they said "we're in coach".

Also they said they don't give conditional offers. I find this hard to believe. Like could Dontarius James commit today w/o Zion? Probably not. :shrug:

Weird comment on Langford...

"Romeo Langford is leaning towards in-state Indiana, but Kansas is a legitimate option and his father has made it clear that this will be a 'business decision'," said Slater. "Kansas has historically been very successful in demonstrating their attractive platform," he added.

@BShark Give Malik his phone number. Let Malik tell him what it is like when you have nobody around you to help you do your thing vs. when you are surrounded by top tier talent. Which one actually showcases your skills better?

Romeo Langford in town this weekend for official visit. :clap:

Bit of a bummer to see Slater change his CB pick for Zion from Kansas to "Foggy". Dude has a 91% accuracy for picking recruits in 2018 thus far.

For a moment I read this as switched on Grimes and I was like :confused: then I saw it was Zion and :relieved:

Pretty sure the UK visit won Zion over.

@BShark

I bet the part where they showed him the untraceable pile of small denominations bills was the highlight of the visit.

We really need to bring the hammer down hard this weekend on Romeo, Indiana got a pretty huge lead in the CB I think 64-21 , things have really turned thought we were looking pretty good. - -Time to pull out all stops -- full speed ahead close out the class with Grimes and Langford ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Bol Bol is trending to Oregon and UK fans are not taking it well. Their dork writers are saying UK may take no bigs this class.

Omg it's just beautiful.

"Look back in recent years at the guys Calipari has chosen not to recruit and he has a pretty good track record."

@BShark Lol they are great to laugh at.

I think they end up with O'Neal's kid anyways though. I would bet money he decommits and ends up in Lexington.

I think this is funny as hell. - -I saw where Bol Bol was trending big to Oregon today - -that's really sucks - - well maybe not lol. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@Kcmatt7 I could definitely see this happening. No way Cal doesn't add at least one big considering UK's attrition rates.

The way people are talking it's done to Oregon.

@BShark

Bol Bol seems to be a West Coast type of person, and unlike his father, definitely not Mid West

Oct 24, 2017 10:45 PM #19

That's what happens when cal cuts him off his team!

Agree. Seemed like AZ was quite strong with him before the whole FBI thing too.

One time KU target Grant Sherfield to UCLA. Was a Kansas kid that moved to Texas. Seems like KU preferred Jacobs over him and backed off. Matt Scott said he didn't develop as KU had hoped he would.

Nov 02, 2017 09:07 PM #22

To add, recruiting is funny. It might change before the final rankings as it is still early for 2019 kids but Jacobs is ranked a lot lower than Sherfield on 247 (composite is actually similar). Credit to the staff for trusting their OWN evaluation.

Nov 03, 2017 02:35 AM #23

Not saying I know for shure but lets say you were being offered cash from a shoe company to play ball at a specific school that always signs the top kids in the country. Then the fbi starts investigating the NCAA. Lets just say any kids/family that would still risk NBA millions to go to that school for 100k is stupid. If that school always signs 5 plus 5 star guys and signs none this year. Shouldn't that flag the FBI?

Nov 03, 2017 02:36 AM #24

Strange that BIG name school can not sign a 5 star BIG?

Doesn't mean anything per se but Jalen seems waaaaaaaaay more excited about his KU offer than Baker.
