I've loathed him since the Wisconsin game.
I hope we get our act together and then face Duke in March.
I have watched this thing about 40 times, enlarged, and both angles. It is a poor resolution--HD video would show if he was hit. One question, though: why would the opp player jerk his hand away immediately after darting it up to defend the ball up top if he did not swipe Allen? You don't usually pull your hand down when a player raises the ball until he moves the ball. He pulls his hand back before Allen pulls and turns his head down. Would sure be nice to have better video to see where the hand is against that dark background!
With all that flopping around maybe he has some soccer in his childhood.
@Crimsonorblue22 Gee, that was friendly. Spoken like someone who is not noticing that I simply asked a question. Why does the opp player pull his hand back before or simultaneously with Allen moving his head? More apparent in the second video.
@JayhawkFanToo I will give you a dollar if you can show me where I said that. Incidentally, I looked all over the internet and found lots of sites, too, saying exactly what you say. What I would point out, however, is that all I found had the same tweet as the source. I just want to see a clearer video. So hang me.
@approxinfinity Thanks. What is weird is every article out there about this has that same tweet. In the ESPN highlight video, the guy who got called for the foul (Chris Thomas) immediately turns and scurries back to his bench with his hands low. No gesture of disbelief, no look at the ref, nothing to indicate he was confused by why he'd gotten called. I agree--Allen defintely sold it. He made one of two FTs, and was pulled from the game a few seconds later, but started the second half. If Allen didn't get hit, no one tried to say so during the game. Only after that tweet.
Note to @wissox: just felt like doing only one paragraph. Better for ranting!

I disagree; therefore, I'm offended. 😉
It looks like his finger tips may graze Allen’s face. The reaction is priceless though. Man, up :cat:
It's hard to see if Allen got hit, but that doesn't mean he didn't get hit. A fingernail to the eye can do some damage.
@JayHawkFanToo "Everyone"? Why no complaints, even a peep, from Southern? Why no articles on this huge offense against propriety except based on that one tweet with crappy resolution? And why was Allen's eye reported swollen by courtside reporters?
