....and other Hype Driven Headlines

Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, Indiana (but they need to get their S*** together quickly). Top Tier

UConn ( almost put in top tier), Syracuse, Michigan State, Second Tier.

Florida, Nova, Michigan, Arizona. Third Tier.

@Blown No need for us to rehash this one. The comments on the article say it all, so we don't need to numb ourselves typing up the obvious--article author is an idiot.

Mar 26, 2018 01:58 PM #4

@Blown Great topic.

@mayjay Succinctly diagnosed.

Mar 26, 2018 02:29 PM #5

@mayjay I quit reading espn comments a long time ago, but I went back and visited them at your suggestion.

Mar 26, 2018 02:33 PM #6

@Blown They got really bad when they switched to facebook for comments.

Mar 26, 2018 03:07 PM #7

@BShark

Much like everything else. Once you go to facebook comments, that opens a whole different can of worms.

Mar 26, 2018 03:17 PM #8

This was the part that showed how bad the writing was...

“Remember, this is a group that was overshadowed earlier this season in the Big 12. While the headlines went to other players and other teams, Kansas did what it usually does -- win.”

Remember it was ESPN that became infatuated with Trae Young, became his de facto publicist, led the charge to overshadow KU and made it possible for a wholly underserving team to make it to the Tournament? An ethical media outlet would have looked at the numbers and not the click bait hype to create a fake reality.

Mar 26, 2018 03:24 PM #9

@JayHawkFanToo That was bad, but I thought the worst was saying "we" all expected KU and Villanova to get there when, as the comments point out, 26 out of 27 ESPN "experts" predicted we would NOT get there.

Mar 26, 2018 03:43 PM #10

@mayjay

As usual they are just jumping on the band wagon...not unlike some KU fans that gave up on the team during a rough patch.

Mar 26, 2018 03:48 PM #11

@Buster-1926

...but...have you been to a little town in New Mexico called Truth or Consequence? :smile:

Mar 26, 2018 03:54 PM #12

@JayHawkFanToo Yes I have, I’ve also been to Winslow Arizona in a flatbed Ford with my girl(honest truth).

My turn, ever been to Blue Ball Pennsylvania? It’s not too far from Virginville.

Mar 26, 2018 03:57 PM #13

@Blown

In about 75 more years of basketball excellence by these two newbies, we can talk about the Blue Blood issue.

I actually stayed all night in a motel there once. Crazy little place.

Mar 26, 2018 04:05 PM #15

@dylans

Cool story. I drove through Winslow...on a rental car and I made it to Las Vegas going through Neddles, California while driving from Palm Springs, so I made farther than the Three Dog Night.

Mar 26, 2018 04:55 PM #16

@dylans I believe you end up in Blue Ball if you stop on the way to Intercourse and from there it is just a short way to Paradise. Here, take a look:

@mayjay can't resist, does it take a map?🤣

Heck, yeah, and all those labels help!

Mar 26, 2018 04:58 PM #19

@mayjay need to figure what order? And then there's the blue 🏀

Mar 26, 2018 05:02 PM #20

@jaybate-1.0 do you usually stay partial nights in motels? lol

Mar 26, 2018 05:02 PM #21

@Crimsonorblue22 Going South on that map seems to be the route but there are short cuts or more scenic routes depending on how fast you want to go, and whether you are with anyone who wants to take pictures on the way.

And I am done before I get in real trouble here. That Crimson, she is a trouble-maker!

Mar 26, 2018 05:06 PM #22

@mayjay

...and all this time I thought you got to Blue Balls as a result of by-passing Intercourse and Paradise. ROTFL.

Mar 26, 2018 05:12 PM #23

@JayHawkFanToo You really have to stop for the night, bypassing doesn't leave you there.

Mar 26, 2018 05:25 PM #24

Hey Toto, I guess we are no longer talking geography...:smirk:

Mar 26, 2018 05:41 PM #25

@mayjay : hey blown, lets not talk about blue bloods, its been rehashed too much. Blown, Blue Balls is a much better topic.

I want to change my alias name now.

Mar 26, 2018 05:44 PM #26

@Blown

Would that be consider a happy ending?

Mar 26, 2018 06:09 PM #27

@Blown Sorry--in a giddy mood today!

Mar 26, 2018 08:17 PM #28

@approxinfinity

Got me!!!

😂

Mar 26, 2018 08:33 PM #29

@mayjay

Watch for the speed trap in Herpesville.

Mar 27, 2018 02:56 AM #30

Ok...Pre-Game Comedy Time...

(

Mar 27, 2018 03:38 AM #31

This! One hundred percent on point

Mar 27, 2018 08:39 PM #33

@JayHawkFanToo You said regarding ESPN - "An ethical media outlet would have looked at the numbers and not the click bait hype to create a fake reality."

I am utterly shocked that anyone would question the ethics of ESPN.
