Yeah this is old but I read this and a few other articles/threads. Bizarre recruitment for a walk-on, visited KU, Kentucky, Arizona... Seems like Nebraska was interested but never offered.

Little more info as I learn more about 6-3 guard Elijah "E.J." Elliott, who will join the team as walk-on. Chose KU over Wake and Nebraska. Family has known Danny M. forever. Southlake (Tx) Carroll grad spent a little bit of time at IMG. Worked w/trainers in Texas all last year.

@BShark Sounds like a good kid from a good family who'll come in and work hard for his shot. The kind of kid that may well stay four years, get his education, and earn a whole lot of fans in KU Nation:clap_tone2: !

Oh @BeddieKU23 I agree with you he is a walk-on with upside. Very interesting. Besides KU visited the likes of Zona and UK last year.

@BShark I just have a feeling that that possibly this Eliott kid may see a few more minutes possibly then normal walk on do you?

I've heard conflicting things. Intrigued to find out more once he arrives on campus.

He's correct. Elliott spent some time at API. This kid is a good asset for the program, I just hope he doesn't expect any pt.
