Sorry guys , I know we had the 2019 recruiting thread, but seein as how it has like 793 posts? - I thought with this I wanted to just say.

What the hell. - Man maybe overplaying this but just got caught totally of base with this news. Just read an article from Zagsblog.com about Samuel Williamson. - He states the three schools working hardest on his recruitment - - -according to this - - it's NOT KU/ - -WTH?

He states in the Article : - - Oklahoma - - -Texas -- & Texas A &M - -are the three - -- so where the hell are we at? -from the conversation here I thought we were working this kid - - thought we were in good shape - - just goes to show the CB isn't worth a tinkers dam - as all it's predicts have been to KU - yet he doesn't even list us as one of the three trying putting in the work.

Oklahoma: Says he has built the best relationship with the staff - been on him for some time.
Texas: - - - - Connects on a nearly daily basis Texas has made it clear he is their # 1 priority,
Texas A & M :Really likes their staff they have also told him that he is a huge priority
KU : - -hmmmmmmm - - crickets?

So what the hell gives? - -Think this kid could be a pretty nice catch - -constantly moving up the charts - be a good 3-4 year player we need these type of players to mix with upper players to blend in - -Sooooooooo? -- I don't get it. Where we at? - -Williamson says he wants to cut his list to like 8 in the next couple of weeks . Wants to commit sometime in the fall. - -HUGE curve ball for me this just totally caught me off guard from everything I had been hearing and reading - - HELP someone -has no visits planned at present - we better step it up -- like now if we really want to land this kid -- or do we?. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

ya , well he better step up - all I've heard was looks like we in hard - -and then this - -we might make top 8 but evidentally unless we step it up we lose this guy to OL SHAKA - -SHAKA not gonna be happy - - this kid could be a really good 3-4 year player for someone, still trying to figure this out

I really don't place much importance to it at this time. Lots of schools recruited Grimes and Dotson harder than KU and they ended up here anyway, KU recruited Langford very hard and he ended up at Indiana, Maryland went all in on De Sousa and even Under Armour kicked in money and he ended up at KU. As long as players feel they are recruited decently they will go where they want to go anyway. Elite programs like UK, Duke, KU and others do not need to recruit nearly as hard as the smaller programs and get the players anyway. Here is the link to the article itself. ↗

Yes you bring up some really good points , and very valid thank you Plus did he say that KU was a lifetime offer? - -Could be wrong, more likely then not probably am just can't remember for sure but I thought I had read that somewhere. - However We still need to be careful as a School to not become to complacent with our approach on recruiting - -I'm just probably over reacting - -but I feel that it's a bad idea if that get the notion that they don't have to work as hard at recruiting a player. If they start feeding their ego and thumping their chest thinking such a way as OH Were KU we don't have to give that 100%. - -Like Bshark mentioned somewhere else - that is gonna jump up and bite them or someone said it's gonna jump up and bite them in the ass. - You have to do your due diligence with each and every one
