Well decided to post my thread because umm - -well because I can , I know how much you hate the Yankees BUT it's ok Everyone has to hate something I guess - -and trippin no matter how much you hate - the Sun still coming up for me tomorrow lol. So now to my post:

Thought the pin stripes was struggling and thinking about an average season BUT then thinking about the situation they're in - -their doing fine.

Major League leading players on the IL they're holding their own only 2 games back our players that we can put on the field still competitive - all my boys hurt:

Judge - - - - Strained Obligue - - - -Stanton - - - -Strained Left Bicep - - - -Hicks - - -Strained Left Lower Back - - -Sanchez - - -Strained Left Calf - - - Gregorius - - -Tommy John - - - Andujar - - - Torn Labrum in Right Shoulder - - - Bird - - Torn Plantar fascia in Left Foot - - - - Severino - - - Strained Latissimus - - -Betances - - - Right Shoulder - - -Montgomery - - Tommy John - - - -Heller - - -Tommy John

We get Stanton -- Judge - - Hicks - - -Bird - - Severino back we gonna be ok - - long season. - Although Baseball is becoming less important to me in my latter years - - always will love and follow my pinstripes. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Sorry Jerry, the Yankees as currently constructed aren’t very hatable. Maybe an underachieving team, but injuries make that hard to tell. I was hoping that Judge would shake his injury proneness and round out his game this year. He’s fun to watch hit homers, but needs to raise his obp.

The White Sox own a winning record over the Yankees the last season and a half (while losing 100 games) and have won as many world series this century as the yankers! I loved the yanks as a child living outside NYC in the days of Reggie and Guidry and Chambliss and Nettles, and Sparky Lyle, and Roy White and Thurman Munson. First ball game was at the House that Ruth Built in 1972.

But Steinbrenner and a move to Chicago turned me off big time. The Yankees represent everything wrong with baseball in my view. While the NFL and NHL have economic systems that doesn't allow teams in large population centers to areas to dominate baseball doesn't care and so the yanks and redsux will continue to hoard prized FA's and raid small market teams. It's an absolute miracle that the Royals were able to overcome all that and win a WS a few years ago.

It's ok that you hate the Yankees - -it's fine , I'm not mad at ya. Everyone has their own - -actually I love it that you hate the Yankees - to mw that just solidifies their success. - -Haters are gonna hate , and success brings envy - -It's ok. As far as talking about the small Market - you can talk till your blue in the face about Yankees and big market - it is not their fault where their team is Located. - The other NY team is also located in a Big Market - - The Dodgers are Located in a Big Market - - San Diego is Located in a Big Market - -Both Chicago teams are located in Big Markets - -again that's not NY's problem - you want the MLB to eliminate these teams because they are in BIG Market Area's ? I would bet you my last Dollar if KC and any other so called small market franchise had the same opportunity - -the same resources are you seriously going to try and sit there and say they wouldn't do the same exact thing if they had the means? - If your seriously would - -then I would call BS.

As you say we gonna keep hoarding the FA - -and these other teams wouldn't have that same opportunity if they had the resources? - -come on you already know , again where were located is not the team's problems. - Yet it's ok I'm not mad - -I'm not trying to start no verbal exchange - -just stating an opinion just like you have - and that's ok. Just one of those cases where we agree to disagree. - Were still JayHawk buddies - at least I hope so. Yet another item mentioned you saying Chicago had won as many Chamionships as NY has in the last Century? - I'm pretty sure you meant to say Decade lol.

I think that's exactly what happened before - -you remember the previous strike - last for some time with the owners and the Union?

@jayballer73 Yes still Jayhawk buddies. But I'll argue all day long about how the Yankees are bad for baseball. I view them exactly as I do Duke right now. Hoarding free agents is the same as hoarding OAD's. Funny as it is to say, the Sox are a small market team. The Cubs dominate the Chicago scene, and get much of the publicity.

The year the Sox won the world series in 2005 for the 1st time in 88 years, SI puts the Patriots on the cover. A little circle in the corner proclaims the Sox amazing win. Evidence greater than all that the east coast teams receive the lions share of media coverage and that includes the Yankees.

It's bad for baseball. It's ruining the sport which is why I hate it so much and why I was thrilled when a rival team like the Royals won the thing in 2015. I love baseball more than any sport. But it's getting unwatchable for a lot of reasons. And some of it has to do with the Yankees.

@jayballer73 The previous strike brings up a sore spot which really is a dislike for ESPN. I heard a talking head on some baseball show talking about the 1994 strike saying people didn't mind the strike that year. Well the Sox had the best record in baseball, just a loaded talented team that was really looking like a world series team. They'd come close the season before. The strike of course took care of it and is still a huge sore spot among Sox fans. But ESPN said baseball fans didn't mind.

Ya well - - you know - - & I know - - it's ESPN - they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. - -I mean I'm not near the fan I was when I was younger BUT - -still like Baseball

I use to hear so much how Baseball was a boring game , because of things like how many times a pitcher throwing to 1st when a runner on - - Batters stepping out of the box - -etc. - I didn't really think about that when I was younger and involved a in the game myself with me being a pitcher. I loved the game = like I have stated previously - had the chance to try my luck in the late 60's - As a pitcher you have to control the game. -In the middle 60's - -late 60's - -Left Handed Pitchers STILL wasn't nearly as common as today - I am left handed and they like I had two different pitching deliveries - - straight over the top -- OR sidearm motion pitched both ways - Over the top was a little better control - - Sidearm more veolicity. - Side arm was topping out around 95 mph - -then had a mean curve , of course part of a curve comes Natural to left handed Pitchers. - -Anyways the Cincinnati wanted to go to their rookie camp - thing was back in those days things were a lot different. I had just got married - - wasn't making even with in a sneeze of what players make these days - -was sure how long I'd be there in the minors - -should of taken the risk - -but like I said had just got married an felt like I needed to play that Male role and support for the family - - NOW. - just a green 18 yr old.

I had my coach talk to me once when I came back around. He said can I ask you a question? - -I said sure. - -He says can I ask you WHY in the hell didn't you go pro? - My only response was -I dunno - - stupid I guess.- -He says well I'm telling you this - - I've coach a lot of prospects -- really good players and says I've never seen a kid be able to throw a curve like you can throw the Curve - -lol - -I said ya well - - -Ah the good ol days.

But since I've gotten away from the game many years ago - -ya I can now kind of understand - Baseball IS kind of a boring game - -so many times not a hell of a lot going on. - -no action/boring -- but Man I had great times playing.

Another thing was I wasn't the best hitter in the world - -and back in those days there was no DH at the time - which meant I was going to have to hit - -wasn't the best thing for me to think about lol. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@wissox 1994 was the Expos year. They were awesome. I think they had the best record. But I think Chicago was the best team in the AL (if they could hold off the Royals, who were surging). White Sox had an old Expo on the roster that year, Tim Raines, and one of my favorite pure hitters, Julio Franco.

Lol. Everyone has a different take. ‘94 was the Braves year.

@HighEliteMajor Yeah, the Expos were very good too. May have had a game on the Sox for best overall record. Frank Thomas won the MVP and was hitting .353, with 38 hr's and 101 rbis in 113 games. He was nearly an RBI per game pace. Like I said, I'm still pissed we didn't have a chance, and I'm sure Expos fans are as well.

Who remembers Frank Howard - -Huge Man? - I think he used to play with Washington Senators at the time

The guy was massive. - If I remember right what caught my attention of him was I believe was one of the few that was hitting balls out of the park at the rate he did - - hitting over 40 I believe.

I can remember he went through quite a stretch where he was hitting them out game after game after game after game right in a row - -- ya, he wasn't exactly a media darling lol.

True my friend- - so imagine seeing a guy that size back in earlier days. - -little more common these days - -Back then it was crazy.
