@BShark son and fam are on vacation in Montana and her dad went over to house and found out the sump broke. Needless to say by the time they found out (no service) they are far down the lists. Basement is completely flooded!

@Crimsonorblue22 That is awful! I rigged up a large ShopVac once, plus a small drill operated pump, to empty the water out of my flooding cellar when the local stores had sold out of sump pumps. Had to break out a window and run three vac hoses to get the water out over the cellar walls.

Hope your son's house has been emptied by easier means.!

@mayjay they drove straight thru🙄, last I knew 19 hrs. Sump pump w/battery pack is in today. High dollar! Restoration people still not there! Carpet soaked since wed pm. He said the smell is bad! Mildew!
