Carty Gordon is leaving DePaul and likely won’t play major college basketball again. Glad we got Silvio instead!

But I'm definitely American, born in the US. I don't think even my dad really knew Danish. Grandparents did though.

Markese Jacobs ended up at De Paul after decommiting to Kansas.

@jhawk7782 Saw him play live enough that I don't think we missed out, although I really wanted him to come to KU. Glad he's at DePaul. They were one of my original teams I followed in the Ray Meyer days with Mark Aguirre, Terry Cummings, Curtis Watkins among others who almost took out Larry Birds team in the final four.

@FarmerJayhawk The little black cloud that has been following us is now dissipating faster than the hurricane watches in west central Florida.

@KUSTEVE And I hope it's nothing more than a sprinkle by the time it reaches North Carolina. (Not Roy - my daughter lives there)

True! Dorian still kind of freaks me out given my proximity to the NC coast.

@FarmerJayhawk Where are you, anyway? We are in SC (Columbia) and it looks like we will get a little rain is all. The coast in both Carolinas looks like it will be getting smacked for the 3rd year running, and we in Columbia got whacked in '15 also with the monster flood.

Good luck if you are close to the coast!

@mayjay Chapel Hill. It shouldn't be too bad unless the storm veers due north. I have some friends in Wilmington that are buckling down for it. Last year really sucked with Florence then Michael.

Sep 05, 2019 01:06 AM #17

@FarmerJayhawk Hopefully, it will spin out into the Atlantic, and miss you all completely.

@FarmerJayhawk We have three different friends who went to different SC beaches and got evacuated immediately. Better safe than sorry! Good luck to your friends.

Probably smart! Thanks! The storm has strengthened again so hopefully it takes a last minute venture out to sea.
