Anyone on here keep up with this? They just announced the new name and logo, a poll was done w/93% opposing the name and logo. I think it's really bad too!

@Crimsonorblue22 I understand there are petitions being circulated calling for a re-do. However, it was reported that the decision was made several months ago, just not announced at that time, and that all sorts of promotional stuff has already been printed (tee shirts, caps, etc.). I, too, think the name is beyond stupid, but we did have a team called the Wingnuts in the not-too-distant past, so we've got some history with stupid names:face_vomiting:

Minor teams have funny names, like the nuts, but the surge? Nothing to do with the area. Laughing at the wind surge, compared to farting!

Stupid name, off the top of my head, Falcons, Warriors, Eagles, Air Captains, Planes, aviators and the Spanglers (for the restaurant lol).
