@drgnslayr Her's to UK following up this year's loss in the final with another 1st round out of the NIT-Not Invited Tournament. Go Huskies, hike your legs on the pussy cats.
After Saturday's events I'm not watching. If Florida had won, I'd watch just for the satisfaction of seeing them beat Kentucky again. But I don't want to see two cheating programs playing against each other.
When I was in the Superdome two years ago, I watched as Kentucky defeated us. When the horn sounded I got out as quickly as I could. I didn't want to see them hoist a trophy. (I did want to beat the traffic!)
If I was betting, I'd say UConn, but thanks anyway, I'll go into my post NCAA tournament decompress!
all the way. I called this the lesser of two evils game. I do like Ollie, but just don't think he'll keep the Calhoun "legacy" going too long. Ollie is a clean coach and seems to be cleaning that program from the ground up.
Anywho...on to a brighter note: I love what Cliff is doing with Turner. I just don't want Cliff to burn Turner away, off, out of KU. I hope he's using discretion. I just wish Embiid would make his decision. I would absolutely hate it if Turner commits elsewhere and Embiid declares...Everyone says,"we'll be ok..." I don't think so. We need Embiid or Turner. I wish there was a way to get both Embiid and Turner.
BTW- Big Cliff is kinda like the big bully from A Christmas Story, Scott Farkus. "Listen jerk, when I say come, you better come."
Does any one see the similarities between Kevin Ollie and Mike Davis at Indiana?
Both inherited the position after the head coaches (Calhoun and Knight) were dismissed for alleged misbehavior and both lead their team to the NCAA final in their second year, each heavily depending on one player (Napier, Jeffries). After the NCAA final appearance Davis career went down hill, left Indiana after four years, had 6 average years at UAB and now coaches at Texas Southern; quite a fall from his glory days at Indiana. What are the chances that Ollie follows the same path?
@nuleafjhawk LOL...I'll hear or read about it in the near future. I just dread all the uk fans that will start hitting everything bball. They shutup when uk's season tanked and now the band is back on the wagon.
@JayHawkFanToo Naw...there are a lot of others deserving of that number than you...just kidding...most are really great board rats. We have our moments, but fairly civil. Besides we wouldn't be a true fanbase if we didn't disagree a bit or even have some heated debate about something.
Maybe you should at least follow the score on the internet. If Kentucky loses quickly flip it on. You definitely want to watch Cal cry and whine about losing. Make sure and have a nice aged cheddar available to consume with all that whine.
I thought about taking an old picture tube console TV out with me to the country.... if Kentucky wins I'll nail the tube with my double-barrel 12-guage. Repeatedly.
I doubt I'll put that much effort into this... if I did I would make sure and videotape it all so I can put it on the internet for 99.9% of America to enjoy.
Not worth watching a game when I'm only rooting against a team, rather than for one. Feels too much like what it must be like to be a Mizzou fan. So, I'm doing something more productive and enjoyable: my tax returns.
